It is such an amazing source of information and help, it's great to see members sharing knowledge with each other - especially with those members whose DC are just beginning their ballet journey. Wishing a Happy New Year to all Ballet coers and happy ballet watching during 2024.

    Merry Christmas to all Forum members (and lurkers!!). A big Thank You to the Forum moderators for doing a marvellous job to keep this forum running, it's much appreciated. Happy ballet watching to everyone for 2024.

    I absolutely agree with OdettesFouettes, about the audience behaviour at Sundays performance. It was the worst I've experienced for some time. People sitting behind us were rustling bags of sweets along the row, whilst talking to each other, and then someone switched on the torch of their mobile phone to look through their bag. It was incredibly distracting, and I was sorely tempted to say something and now wish I had been brave enough to do so!! I received a questionnaire from the Hippodrome asking about my visit and I did highlight the issue to them, but there probably isn't an easy way to stop this. Out of respect for the other audience members and the performers, I wish they would wait until the interval and then eat, so we can all enjoy the wonderful dancing!!

    This is so very sad to read Sim. I will never understand why anyone would feel the need to harm or kill such beautiful birds and steal their eggs. I live near the Birmingham/Worcestershire canal and walk along it most days. Over the past couple of weeks I've been able to enjoy watching the newly born tiny ducklings and goslings swimming along and how anyone would want to harm them is beyond me.

    I feel so upset and saddening to read a student attempted suicide. I appreciate that competition for a place at vocational school is very hard, and I can only imagine the intense pressure and stress the students (and their family) must feel, as there are so many things beyond their control, whilst they work so hard in the hope of one day realising their dream. I sincerely hope the student receives the help needed to recover from this for a happy future.

    Like LynetteH the guide on my television screen says 1 of 3, but looking in this weeks TV magazine it agrees with you Alison and states 1 of 7!!! Maybe other forum members can be more helpful than me!!

    Thank you for the encouragement Bridiem. I do attend performances, and afterwards it's interesting to then read on this forum what others thought, but never felt brave enough to post myself!! When theatres open again I'll have a go!!

    Happy 10th birthday Ballet Co!! This forum is wonderful, with lots of kind, helpful people sharing their knowledge with others. Im not knowledgeable enough to post, but love reading everyone's posts and reviews. As other posters have said, a massive Thank You to the moderators for all they do every day to keep this brilliant forum running. Wishing all moderators and Ballet coers a very happy Christmas and New Year.
