Has she been in one of the courses already? I would say if the wait list comes up for RBS, most people opt for that as a first choice just based on the prestige/reputation. I don’t know if there is much between the other three? Maybe the most convenient? Or the one she would prefer as an upper school? Sorry - not super helpful!

What school year will your daughter be in September?

Hello - is anyone deciding between CSB and ENBS for associates at the year 11 stage? What do you feel are the pro’s and con’s of each? Would love to hear from anyone choosing between these two, or any with experience of this in the past. Or indeed views about other associate courses for this age or associate courses in general (are they worth it/necessary? Is there a better option ???)

Hello - what age group is this course for? 16+ or 18+? Thanks

We could potentially look at Europe as well 😊

Hello, I am the parent of a year 10 student who would like to audition for dance colleges for year 12. I’m wondering if there is a list somewhere on here of all the options available. Also curious how these are funded? Are student loans available or funding/bursary? Or are they self funded? interested in ballet but also willing to look at other dance styles eg contemporary and musical theatre, open to all ideas. so far we have Royal Ballet School Central School of ballet Tring Elmhurst Hammond There must be others, what am I missing?

I wouldn’t worry too much, it seems fairly unlikely Rishi will survive the next election.

Hi there, A couple of things. At CSB, the associates and the main school are quite separate entities, so I wouldn’t let one failed audition for their associate programme put you off. Also, I think you should go ahead and audition for RBS if you want to. After all, you’ll never know if you don’t try, and there’s nothing to lose. I do have a recommendation for a wonderful private ballet coach you could see to help you prepare for the auditions, and also to give you an honest evaluation of your potential/talent, possibly offer advice as to the best places to apply based on your strengths. If you are London-ish based, let me know if you would like the details.

RIP Shirley, what a fountain of knowledge she was for all lucky enough to encounter her

Wondering if those who auditioned for Central have results yet? And what did you decide? Central or ENBS?

Does anyone have an unwanted prep 2 belt? I don’t really want to pay 5.95 + 3.95 (belt and shipping) when I’m sure someone who has moved up to prep 3 must have one ??

I think that those who are already in associates (mids and higher) have had their offers, so perhaps just waiting for all those to confirm before they send out further offers?

Thanks everyone for your recommendations and for messages sent as well, we have two trials arranged for this weekend, and depending on how those go, will look at a couple of other schools as well. Many thanks, the help is much appreciated
