Elmhurst said not to expect any results until after 21st March as that is when their meeting is to discuss places. So I think they’ll all be out at about the same time!

They said we should hear within 2 weeks but don’t chase for 4 weeks (year 7 girls)

I was just trying to give feedback, as requested, to parents whose 10 year olds may not be fluent in French. We had been advised that all lessons would be taught in English in addition to French.

Hi, my daughter went last year at the age of 10 (year 5) and was in the junior group. She did enjoy the week, and ballet and folk dance tuition were great. But the additional classes in the junior section in drama and singing were all in French so hard for her to navigate and therefore not as enjoyable. Teaching methods were different to the UK - quite strict and quite hands on. For us, I think that the intensive would be much better as she gets older as there was much more ballet taught - with partnering and pointe - in the older groups. She didn’t want to apply again this year.

Yes my DD had a lovely time too - would highly recommend for next year.

I really can’t see that this would happen - not all of the children will have a solo and they’d need notice to prepare one, plus music. You could always email Rachal in admissions to check but it would be very mean!!

For those doing finals over two days - do they generally wear the same leotard for both days or different? I know it really makes no difference to the outcome, just wondered!

That’s great to hear that other people are keen too! My 11 year old has finals coming up all in the same week - 8th and 9th at Elmhurst and 10th and 11th at WL. Anyone else in the same (fortunate) boat?

Anyone keen to resurrect this thread a bit more as we get closer to finals? I’ve read back on last year’s one and it seemed like such a supportive and helpful group! My DD is applying for a year 7 place.

I wonder what will happen about the apparent clash between Elmhurst and RBS year 7 girls finals this year? I bet lots of children will want to go to both!

My daughter auditioned last Tuesday and they said we’d hear back within 12 working days. Those who auditioned this Tuesday were told 10 working days. 😀

I’ve just filmed all the sections for audition videos separately on my phone then used iMovie to put them together, also on the phone. Pretty simple and works well! Good luck!
