  1. To top my previous posting, Google Arts are now streaming Olga Smirnova in her 2019 performance of Raymonda. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1-f14IwwskXL12VY3t8uz0i4_GFjDGptu/view?usp=sharing
  2. The DVD/BLU-RAY 2020 release of Romeo and Juliet, with choreography by ex Royal Ballet soloist Vyacheslav Samodurov is being shown on Sky Arts freeview channel at 6:55 am on Wed 12th April. I will have to record it. https://youtu.be/vjM4A827pO0
  3. Unfortunately none of her great classical performances, just a couple of later contemporary performance like 'Push' with Russel Maliphant and 'Bye' by Mats Ek. There is a double disc, 'At Work/Portrait', mainly documentary with ballet clips.
  4. Anna Kerenina by John Neumeier is now listed for release DVD and blu-ray, on 19th May 23 by Amazon. Not yet for pre order.
  5. Not a new release, but rare. K&K Philharmoniker and Ballet, formed in Lviv Ukraine in 2002. Ballet sequences from 'Kendlinger conducts Strauss 2011'. https://youtu.be/JtWGC5V8BdM https://youtu.be/N70TLdxSKSg https://youtu.be/5MQyAymsviM https://youtu.be/iJ7qgOzmzjA
  6. I ordered the Dante Project on Blu-Ray from Rarewaves.com. I hadn't ordered directly from their website before, but for comparison it was £25.23 with free p&p for the blu-ray and shipped from their warehouse in Rushden U.K., despatched in 2 days and delivered in one week.
  7. For Google account holders, they are now streaming Olga Smirnova from her 2019 performance as Nikiya in La Bayadere. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sVskWBjju79rCzFUyz9CDFUu-dLxt_w0/view?usp=sharing
  8. On Tues 28th Feb, at 6:30 am GMT, Sky Arts are streaming the 2014 Swan Lake Production by Vienna State Ballet. It appears to be the same as the CMajor release on DVD starring Olga Esina https://youtu.be/DJnn0WGaCcA
  9. Sky arts are steaming Alices Adventures in Wonderland on Saturday 18th Feb at 6:15 to 8:30 am G.M.T. This is a different cast to the two versions available on DVD. Sarah Lamb, Edward Watson and Federico Bonelli star in the Royal Ballet's 2013 production based on Lewis Carroll's classic children's story, with choreography by Christopher Wheeldon and music by Joby Talbot.
  10. The answer to Alison's question is that it is not out as yet, Some suppliers in France, UK and Germany are taking orders with a potential supply of between 11th and 15th February. Hopeful rather than confirmed, since no one appears to have it in stock. Amazon are not showing it in stock for themselves and are cautiously not taking pre orders.
  11. Birmingham Royal Ballet have announced that their production of Carlos Acosta's Don Quixote will be streamed on BBC Four this Sunday 29th January, in the UK, at 7:45 and on BBC iplayer
  12. I know, so do Europadisc and ebay, have it up for pre order, but just my luck that I have an Amazon voucher which I have been keeping back for just such an event. I am questioning if there is a problem with the release date with Amazon not listing it yet for pre order. It would usually have been available before now.
  13. And with only 5 working days to go, still not available to pre order on Amazon
  14. Google Arts are steaming, recorded from Teatro Massimo, Don Quixote, for Google account holders. Starring Olesya Novicova and Leonid Sarafanov https://drive.google.com/file/d/1L87WHr6Iscf-eVMZvtCRpmVANEGFcz-f/view?usp=sharing
  15. A new release on DVD and Blue Ray, in December, CMajor released John Cranko's 'The Taming of the Shrew' from Stuttgart ballet. https://youtu.be/qzyc8E3R2mg
  16. I don't know this ballet at all, so I guess that if the trailer shown is the least interesting, then I am in for a big feast ?
  17. As an alternative for 'Swan Lakers', Google arts are currently streaming the Yanowski performance, which I recall was very good. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1m3fPj3EunHGLTXq_HoWVNY-o2OcXlCMU/view?usp=sharing
  18. With two Royal Ballet releases of Swan Lake by Nunez, one by Osipova and an early version with Makarova, it would be understandable if they decided that this particular ballet was already well served by DVD releases, when compared with the many other productions in their repertoire, many of which have not had a previous release.
  19. The Dante Project, Royal Ballet, is now listed on Amazon on DVD and Blu-Ray. Release date not yet advised but should be a treat for Ed Watson supporters.
  20. Opus Arte are releasing Scottish Ballet 'Starstruck' on DVD and Blu Ray on 28th Oct. Available to pre order, but only just listed on Amazon. https://youtu.be/Bf4Sst2Xg3U
  21. Ballet Black : Eightfold, is currently being streamed on All4. I particularly enjoyed the final slow solo, filmed with a red filter on the lens.
  22. For those interested in La Esmiralda, Google Arts are currently showing a version by Stanislavsky Theatre in high definition. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LW3CtPgY1ix0hyTfg114HZt_TuiCybF1/view?usp=sharing
  23. There is another version of La Esmiralda currently showing on youtube. I believe it is Olga Polyanskaya and Valery Ryzhov. It is reasonable quality although not HD
  24. This is the first time I have seen Giselle with a different cast in each act. Not sure why, but it is clearly planned that way from La Scala. See link attached from Google streaming. La Scala – Giselle – Manni / Arduino - 2021 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DZZxQa_oBaB7uI5VufSnjRGQj1w5Z7WD/view?usp=sharing
