  1. For anyone who missed the YDA summer school this year, I would really recommend it for 2019. My daughter attended and had a wonderful experience. It was a lot of work especially in such high temperatures but she said it was excellent. For those who saw my other post asking about JA alternative to RBS schemes, I did ask if there was an associate space for my daughter and was told that she was not quite the right quality to hit the grade right now, but if she keeps working hard she can apply next year and see how that goes. The mini show the dancers perform at the weeks end was apparently excellent (I was not able to attend but my daughter's nanny did and was rather shocked at how good the standard was and she used to dance for Ballettakademeen)
  2. Hi is anyone doing YDA's summer school tomorrow and this week?
  3. Thanks everyone for your help. I've been working away for a few weeks but now I'm back I can focus on your suggestions. Thank you!
  4. Wow I'm overwhelmed by all your responses! Thank you all so very much and I shall definitely look into all the above.
  5. My apologies, I am based in Kent (between Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks) so London schemes would be wonderful
  6. Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and a newbie to dance in general. My daughter has just been turned down after a RBS JA audition. It was her first audition for anything as she has only recently joined a ballet class (gymnastic background). Whilst she was a bit down at first she has asked me to look for alternatives. I would be very happy to hear alternatives please from parents who know what is what! Thank you so very much
