I don’t think we can know for certain. I thought they’d said 10 at Prelims but not really sure I heard right and whether that’s for just year 7 or all years. I know they’ve given about 4 out already though x

DD said there were 11 girls in their year 7 class yesterday and then I think the girls classes went up through the years. Such long odds! But DD loved the class.

They absolutely are. I think as parents we find it harder. DD definitely bounced back from her knocks quicker than I stopped hurting for her x

Thanks @NotadanceMare physio, I assume because it was via video last year (iirc) they didn’t have a physio at prelims so needed one at finals. Whereas they did have them at prelims this year so would they be needed again? 6 MDS for 60 children 🙈. I liked my previous research of 10 places for 50 children 😁 @Neverdancedjustamumre your point about how much is invested to get them to this point. I was actually thinking about this last night. DD isn’t being prepared for these as such, she is a JA and has good local training but non of this (with the prep for WL prelims aside) is with her auditions in mind. Her school don’t send children to vocational school generally so my ‘keep awake thought’ last night was, how does DD compete against children that are being specifically prepared for this moment!

I expect some will still attend assuming WL isn’t their first choice? Not sure how many that would be though 🤷‍♀️

Good luck to all the boys for day of 2 WL 🤞 TRING FUNDING FINAL QUESTION At the prelim DD had a physio assessment and the funding final offer just states that it is a ballet class for the final. It doesn’t mention anything about physio. I know on recent years they have also done a physio assessment during finals so do you think they have possibly changed it this year? Any insight into how many possible MDS this year? Past threads have shown anywhere from 3 to 10 but these are for all years 7-11 which I think is about 40-50 children at finals if I’m right? So slim chances whichever way you look at it 🙈

What group was that?

My understanding was that the earlier group which was an older age group (11-12 years) didn’t do any flexibility assessment or pirouettes and did a lot of pliés. DDs group 10/11 years did pirouette prep, flexibility and corner work 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ DD is applying for year 7 CAT so will have been an older one in the 12.15 group. She wasn’t in with her friend as they were also applying for associates whereas DD was just applying for CAT.
