    Our video has also been viewed, for just over 5 minutes on Sunday, and then for 18 seconds yesterday! Seems others have had similar, the waiting is so hard! I guess any plans for finals can only be provisional anyway, until we know when lockdown will be lifted. Glad they’re trying to do it before the end of term though.

    I would think you can change them, given that it’s essentially a new application, but I would contact the school to be sure. However, I wouldn’t assume a no for Easter would also mean no for summer with the same pics, as there are far more places available for summer. My dd had a place for last summer, but only got the wait list for Easter (different pics this year obviously). We’ve submitted for summer with the same pics, and also used those pics for the WL application (with the video of course!).

    I think it must be an error then, but just double checked my email and it def says week ending 15/01/2021. It wouldn’t make sense to be before the closing date though.

    I’m not sure, I hadn’t even thought about that, my email just said results for London summer will be sent week ending 15th Jan. I was adding the application to our existing one for Easter, not sure if that makes a difference? Oh well, just wait to hear I suppose.

    Just wondering if anyone applied for the summer intensive this week? It said in the confirmation email that they’ll send results by end of the next week, this seems very quick, is this going to happen do we think?!

    I did that! 😂 With You Tube, you can check how many unique viewers have viewed, where it says ‘Audience’.

    Oh gosh, I’ve checked ours quite a few times and no views as yet! Another thing to obsess over in between checking emails! 😀

    Really sorry to hear this. My daughter also missed out on going last summer, but is on the waiting list for Easter. I can imagine it being cancelled yet anyway. Such a shame for these youngsters.

    I agree, I wouldn’t stress about these details, they will be able to see what they need to see.

    No, on the Zoom meeting, Chris Powney said he wouldn’t want to offer a place to a child without seeing them in person, so they will delay as necessary. Honestly though I would say if/when WL students are back at the school, they could hold auditions, perhaps just in small batches?

    Submitted ours on 31st Dec, what a relief! Also ended up redoing some bits a few times! The confirmation email said we should hear no later than mid Feb. Hoping it’ll be sooner though, the waiting is so nerve wracking!

    Yes true @coniger, and I suppose if they get to the final, they go to WL for that anyway. I just feel it’s hard for these young people to visualise what actually being there might be like, however much they love their dance.

    That’s interesting @Katniss The only thing I would say though is that year 6 JAs obviously haven’t had the chance to even visit WL yet, which they would normally have done this term, so attending an intensive would in my mind at least be a way of experiencing the place.

    I think you’re so right that it will come down to minuscule differences. I also wonder if perhaps they favour children who aren’t already JAs, to give them the experience? I have no idea how many JAs get in vs not, but just a thought. My dd asked me last night about not getting in (she’s on the waiting list) and said “what did I do wrong?” 😢 I told her she didn’t ‘do’ anything, she just had her picture taken! Difficult to navigate all this!

    Yes, it is a shame! Filming these videos is stressful too! They’ve only just started pirouettes at JAs, so we’re holding off on filming those!

    My dd also on the waiting list. She’s a year 6 JA, and was supposed to attend the summer intensive this year. I did warn her that there are fewer places available for the Easter. Can I ask those talking about ‘short waiting list’, did it say that in your email? Ours just said Waiting List.

    My daughter’s absolutely gutted about the summer intensive, she’s been so looking forward to it. Sadly an online version will hardly match the experience. She wants to audition for White Lodge next year, and this would’ve given her an idea of what it’s all about. Also losing motivation, like others are saying, the video lessons just aren’t the same.

    I don’t think the one from ‘Henry’ was from the Royal Ballet, I got it too, and a couple of things in the wording were dodgy, and the email for financial assistance was wrong. I emailed the RB to let them know, in case they’ve been hacked, but they haven’t replied. Awful that some thought they had places by mistake.

    For those asking about dates, I emailed them to check what my daughter had been offered, and it was the week we’d put on the application form.
