    Hi......my dd is interested in Rambert at summer. What is it like as an intensive? She loves YBS and has a scholarship place there, and finds they work hard there. RBS is on waiting listfor this but did it last year, and tbh didn't find the days as intense as YBS. How does Rambert compare? How much ballet and pointe will a Year 9 do? Is there a good balance of contemporary too? Thanks!!!

    Since fees have to be paid at end of March I wonder if some waitlist places will appear after then? Would like to apply for other things if she doesn't get a place at all.

    Finals are on today for older ones i think......so who knows!!

    Oh there were about 70 at her WL final too! This was 3 years ago now, so I'm sure people who did it last year can update!

    When my DD auditioned there was no semi final, but she said the final was much the same as the first round. Also she was never an Elm YD so don't worry about them having any advantage at all. There were about 50 in my DDs year and 15 got places, but it varies each year. They take who they like rather than having an equal number of boys and girls.

    Yes they sometimes do send them out around the same time.....one year my friends daughter was just about to go to finals for WL and got a no for summer. But then got accepted into WL, so ended up going to summer intensive anyway!

    I am surprised they havent opened up that parking or using the Priory tennis parking like they are on Friday......we will be there too late to get a space there, hence parking just down the road.

    There's plenty of parking nearby tbh! We have a family event on Friday and we are parking at the wildlife conservation park car park just 5 minutes walk away......or down at the MAC centre too

    Current Year 9s have just done their appraisals. They will get told in the next couple of weeks whether or not they have a place for yr 10. They were told over Feb half term last year.

    Normally you drop off on the first date of the intensive in the afternoon. Pick up on the last date around lunchtime......they do a performance in the theatre too.

    Results have just come out and we have a yes but can no longer make it so hopefully someone on waiting list gets a place!

    All of the morning sessions had waiting list next to them so only afternoon sessions available to us. Apart from the Sunday which had both available still.

    Just got an email this afternoon with an offer. Only a few sessions left that we can now do, but at least gets a couple of sessions there.

    I got a confirmation email the same day (18th Dec). Maybe they are just taking a break Iver Xmas though?

    Thank you! She has been to YBS every year for the last 3 years, and this is first year she got a scholarship so very pleased. Yes they were at York, but when Iain took over it moved to Harrogate. Will be interesting to see what the new director does

    I can imagine accommodation is quite pricey too! I've always wondered how much these competitions like PdL and YAGP cost!

    It's at a school, and they bring in the flooring to lay
