  1. Yes my daughter has 2 weeks.......but many older ones apply for 2 weeks.....just like they do for RBS? Should they also limit people.to one week? I know of someone with a bursary with 2 weeks, and someone who has been accepted and is on waitlist for bursary too. I also know of a vocational student with waitlist despite going past 2 years. Tbh I do think the class sizes have increased over the past couple of years so it will be nice to see them reduced again.
  2. When my eldest DD auditioned for JAs, she was supposed to audition in Leeds as that is our closest centre, but ended up with chicken pox!!!! I emailed them and they switched her audition to London for us.....Nice road trip! So they seem very accommodating.
  3. Luckily my dd had her first period whilst on leave out so with me! But she went away in yr 7 with a box of products.......which seemed to get less and less as friends started theirs and borrowed things! Didn't have much left by the time she needed them 🤣
  4. Tbh we had period pants and my DD was very self conscious wearing them as they could be seen whilst wearing it. She made the jump one day to tampons......she got one from a friend....then sent me a message asking if she could have a box. Never looked back! I didn't have to talk her through how to use them.......they learn so much from each other, its amazing!
  5. I'm selling a Wear Moi Diane Leotard in Rose colour size large. This is brand new with tags. I bought it off Ebay as it was advertised as age 8-10 for DD2......clearly not and they won't take a return Just want to get my money back to get her a leo the right size!!! £15 including UK postage
  6. Not NW but still north if they can travel.......Planet Dance at Batley near Leeds. We always go there for fittings.
  7. Get yourself a subscription to Amazon Prime 🤣🤣🤣

  9. Can I ask why? How does the teaching compare? DC2 is only going to be Yr 4 so not thinking about vocational school at all yet.
  10. How do they compare? I have had one DC go through RBS but no experience of Elmhurst associates programme. DC2 now wanting to do more ballet! Cant do both as locations don't work. So one or the other!
  11. Anyone know where Elmhurst associates is held in Manchester?
  12. Are photos to be taken in shoes and socks or bare feet? I know the website says bare legs with shoes and socks, but dds ballet teacher really wants to them in bare feet. Does it matter? I can't remember what we did last time!
  13. It was definitely how it went for my DD. Was so excited to get to finals......we had never been to WL. She came out of the first day.....got back to hotel room......cried and said she hated. Didn't like the building or the crazy old tunnels or the dorm with all 15 beds in there! She didn't want to go back for the second day, but only had physio to do....plus I had an afternoon tea booked with a friend! She is now happy at another school. But def does happen!
  14. It's just that I remember on the form for Northern CAT scheme, they used to ask if you had another child at vocational school etc.
  15. Random question.....has anyone had a dc at vocational school.paying fees with MDS, and then a second dc on JA scheme.......any discount allowance for the fact you were paying vocational fees? Or am I wishing too much?!
  16. So it looks like I am about to start the JA journey with DD2.......after spending 3 years travelling to JAs with dd1!!!! She is yr 3 and a very young one, but wants to do it as her older sister did. Time to get the photos done!
