  1. I was wondering if anyone has up-to-date info on the Palucca School in Dresden? I'm helping my dd (16) compile her list of potential training schools. She is looking for a year round residential training situation, and this is one of the schools that we think might be a good fit for her. Can any speak to the quality of the training, and the atmosphere of the school? Does anyone know how their graduates have been doing in recent years? Thank you!
  2. Wondering if any other BalletCo members have applied to the AISS this year? My dd applied early, and received a response at the end of March telling her that she was on the list of possible accepted candidates, but they were unable to offer her a spot until after all applications had been received on April 1st, and that it could take as long as an additional two weeks. That was six weeks ago, and we haven't heard a peep since then one way or the other. I'm rather baffled as to how to take it. I assume that the original email was implying that while she is reasonably suited to the program, she wasn't one of the very strongest candidates, so they were placing her on something akin to a wait list. I do wish that they were somewhat more communicative. I'm really hoping that someone has experiences to share from this year.
  3. Thank you for letting me know. Knowing when we can hope for an answer really helps with other planning. Thank you for the welcome and warm wishes!
  4. Hello, I am reviving this thread in hopes that I can get some information on how long it took for people to receive the results of their application. My dd (15 yrs old) has applied to this program, and would really love to attend. The website indicates that they will get back to her by the end of April at the latest. I know this intensive traditionally has later deadlines than many other programs, but I'm really hoping that she won't have to wait the full two and a half months to hear back. My fingers are crossed that they start responding to applicants long before then! Thank you!
