  1. Thank you, she is very interested in Brussels so that is good to know.
  2. Thanks Janet. Have looked at those. Unfortunately, we don’t have the residency requirements so UK schools are prohibitively expensive for us. It’s good to know that Brussels definitely take older students. With her birthday in March it works for the southern hemisphere but not for northern hemisphere and would mean her auditioning at the beginning of next year at 16 to get in to those that only take under 18 and she wants to wait another year.
  3. My daughter is thinking she would like to continue where she is for another year and then Audition for European schools next year, rather than this upcoming year (so for September 2025 entry). She will, however, be 18 in March 2025 and is wondering if that is too old. She is interested in training/studying anywhere with an affordable program eg Brussels. so do you have to be 17 entering the program or is 18 ok?? thanks
  4. Hi, I was wondering does anyone know anything about the Victorian State Ballet? Anyone who has trained their pre-pro, trainee or part of the company? thanks.
  5. How hard is the commute to yda before you rule It out? Is it fairly direct? Few changes? Train time to get homework done? I have been surprised by how easily my girls have gotten used to using public transport to get to school since starting high school ( not a long distance but a two train journey), within the first few days they were train proficient and have gained so much independence from it. Including the child who was terrified of trains all her life.
  6. Janet that can be with anyone qualified. The first 10 hours with an instructor count for 30 hours though. Still a lot of hours to do but does make for much more confident drivers. As someone who lived in London and didn't drive for many years I know exactly what you mean. Do enough now taxiing the children though!
  7. So is there still no minimum learner driving hours required in the UK? In Australia now you have to log 120 hours of driving before you can take your test.
  8. Not in the UK but I also read the minimum age 8 thing and worried about it and questioned , my dd was 6/7 when she did grade 2 and it wasn't a problem.
