  1. So I have bought these online that I can start practicing on. My teacher said there shouldn't be a problem as my ankles are strong enough and I have almost all my technique down. She doesn't want me to spent 80 dollars on pointe shoes till I have felt them on me and made a confident decision that this is what I will be doing. My question is have any of you bought these before and are they legit? https://www.wish.com/c/54645d9a3dabbe67fe8876f4
  2. Physio? Is that a doctor for feet or??? Kind of sounds crazy to see a doctor about doesn't it?
  3. http://s27.postimg.org/72cxrom4j/image.jpg I wasn't able to post the picture but this is the link to it. I circled the area that hurts.
  4. Currently I dance in ballet flats and I am doing well but this part of my foot is constantly hurting. Especially doing certain moves and jumps in class. I won't be having class for a month now due to my teacher having surgery but I would like to know why this part of my foot hurts so much on this side but my other side is perfectly fine. I am trying to add a picture
  5. What else can I do to improve my core strength and tone my stomach? I have a muffin top and in a leotard it doesn't look good.
  6. I am actually going to start a Pilates and body flossing class next week or so.
  7. So I have started back up in ballet and I love it however I don't quite have that gracefulness that I need and once had. I tend to be ridged in my movements and tense. How do I relax more while dancing? I know I am starting back at beginner level but I would like to know how to move more graceful. Another thing is my arms lol. I feel like when I dance they aren't even apart of my body. How am I suppose to move them to make them look nice? Yes I know these are silly questions but I am new to ballet after not having done it in over 10 years and there is a lot I am having to catch up on.
  8. I took ballet when I was younger (around 3-6 lol) and I really want to go back into ballet. I do a lot of ballet exercises and stretches at home and I think I do pretty well. My turn out isn't that great but I feel like my hips are just stuck and wont let me! I feel like it is crazy as I am fairly young being only 17, 18 in 2 months. On top of that my hip muscles will spasm and get very painful. My feet and calves do the same. On my feet it is where my toes are and they literally spasm so bad I can't move them. My calves aren't that bad. I am hesitant to start back up in ballet as if I am having this problem with basic stretches at home I doubtI will make it in a class. I love ballet so much but I really am not sure what to do. I have a massager that I use for my feet and it helps a little but not by much. Thank you in advance for the help and advice!
