  1. Hi, yes storage was mentioned. We used LoknStore on Regent Road (on the way to the M602). Very reasonable and brand new last year. Did some good deals for students and was really convenient. Pm me if you need any more info.
  2. We paid £30 per month for 2 months, it went up after that but we only had one extra week. You could probably get away with a smaller unit but my dd had a couple of ikea kallax units for extra storage in her room. We used LoknStore Salford. It's just at the end of the M602. We had our own unit so could access it whenever we wanted. We just had to provide a padlock. It was brand new last year so really clean and the staff were brilliant. It saved a lot of arguing over where to put everything at home!
  3. We used a storage unit last summer, it worked out quite cheap and much less stressful. I'll find the details when I get home but I remember there being a half price deal for students who booked early.
  4. I agree with @balletbean although I believe Parkway is supposed to reopen in September - unlikely looking at the state of the building! Artisan Heights is eye wateringly expensive, Dwell is much cheaper but it wouldn't be my first choice. Some live further afield but there are some not so nice parts of Manchester nearby which needs to be considered. Also happy to help if you need any info. I know some have booked for next year already and have spare rooms in their flats too.
  5. Looking for a copy of the RAD Advanced 2 Female syllabus if anyone has one they don't need anymore. Thanks
  6. I think it was about a week when my dd auditioned, no finals but funding won't be offered until the spring. Hope you had a good time and good luck for the results.
  7. Hi, I think your DD is at NBS? They were given a list last year I'll ask my DD to find it. She's welcome to pop and see my DD if it helps x
  8. I sew my dd's on the machine. It looks neater and is so much kinder on the fingers. Does mean you have to get them in the right place first time though x
  9. It must depend on LEA, Lancashire break up on 1st April!
  10. She doesn't happen to be at NBS does she? My dd has been asked to show the 1st years how to darn!! 🤣🤣
  11. There has been a sickness bug going round 2nd year which wiped out about half of them but no covid. Dd says she hasn't heard of any covid in 3rd year either.
  12. Hi, I know this has been discussed many times but just saw this and thought it might help some people https://www.facebook.com/268630863997118/posts/960448888148642/?sfnsn=scwspmo Wish they'd been around when I was a teenager.
  13. My dd is shattered too, didn't have this last year but covid put paid to a lot of shenanigans I suppose! I've emailed New Medlock about something else today but also mentioned the fire alarms! I'm sure it will settle down soon. If she needs any help let me know and I can get my dd to contact her x
  14. My dd's result took about 5 weeks although not had the certificate yet.
  15. @balletbean it was a fantastic show. Good luck to all the 3rd years on their next steps. I'd like to echo your words about the staff, my dd has blossomed.
  16. Congratulations! My dd has been offered a place on the senior course. 😁
  17. Just for info, they get a lot of info from the Facebook group. It's used like a noticeboard, timetables, rehearsal schedules etc. My dd doesn't do Facebook but uses it for the NBS group
  18. I have spoken to them today and I don't have a problem with the organisation or teaching. Just wondered if anyone had seen a performance and knew what the quality is like?
  19. Does anyone have any knowledge of these? http://www.thebirminghamballetcompany.com/ My dd is thinking of applying for some performance opportunity after the last dismal 12 months. Thanks
  20. Thank God they're not changing the tracksuits - I'd have had to sell a kidney 😂😂
  21. I believe there's talk of the uniform changing for next year so I wouldn't do anything on that front yet! X
  22. If it helps, the school set up a Facebook group for the 1st years last year. They have since moved onto something else but it was a good way to make contact. Also once you have a contract signed with Unite you can download the app and make contact with others in your flat. The app is also needed for reporting any maintenance issues and using the laundry.
