  1. Hello! Do you have any info about the Hamburg Ballet School. My daughter attended the final audition. It's seem to be a very nice place where study ballet, very nice boarding school, well supervised.

My question is how many of those with a diploma from the Hamburg Ballet School got a place in good companies? ????

  2. Hi everyone, my two cents on trasportation to and from WL.

It's not easy. No buses lines  to the school. The Park is preatty big so it's not suitable to reach WL by bike. A taxi from Richmond Station to the school door was 25£ one way.

But... the good thing is the school provides a bus from Richmond for the non residents students (at least last year...).

My DD will be in week two ;), she's 13.

  3. Mine was sent 4.13 pm Central European Time. A friend of mine, who is in the Waitlist, received her mail one hour later.

Three years ago my daughter was waitlisted and called after the acceptance deadline so... finger crossed everyone!

  4. Vmmom they offered full time places in the red group. Assume there are no spaces in school in the other years of none were offered.

My daughter know they offer some place in red male group. They offer scholarship to an Italian girl but only for the next SI.
  5. Were you in Green too vvmom? I think there was one girl in black that was very strong.

Yes Pointeyourtoes, my daughter was in Green. I think you are speaking about the German girl who is in 6th grade at Berlin School. Very strong tecnique for her age (14). ????
  6. It was White Lodge and I felt the same. There were no introductions or sense of occasion and at the end the teacher just said safe journey and left. It was nice to watch the class but I preferred the demo at Paris that was introduced by the Artistic Director and felt important to them too.

Pointeyourtoes, I was there too. I had the same feeling. Nice (and long!) classes, but not very well organized. Confused lines during the exercises. The Paris demo was more smooth and ...professional. But I like very much the coffee moment ;). My daughter was in Green class.

  7. I hope your DD has enjoyed Paris Opèra Summer school vmmon.  Are you travelling straight to London from there?

Thanks angel! She loves the school and the classes! Very challenging SI. We will travel to London on sunday straight from Paris. Just a little shopping on saturday "dans l'apès-midi"  B)

  8. Are you ready to start this new ballet adventure? My DD is super excited!

I'm printing the boarding passes right now.

Anyone is going to the Paris Opèra Summer School before the Royal Ballet?

My DD will be there for two weeks.

  9. Thanks @angel but at my daughter's school they don't use character skirt so I need to buy one. I found the Katz skirt on ebay that is not too expensive but it seems  so see-through . I can sew it by myself but the cost will be the same or higher.

  10. Since on the Forum part about Performances and General discussions some forum member voted for the adoption of a badge to be spotted as fellows in the Performance audiences, I would suggest the same badge for Summer Intensives to meet other members-mom-dads.

If you agree, please search the tread about this mentioned discussion on Performances seen & general discussions.
