  1. Thanks for the memory @Sophoife, I have a happy recollection of that cast - with Will Tuckett as a very menacing Gaoler
  2. None of the princes in classical ballet are perfect apart from the Sugar Plum Fairy’s Prince (with the possible exception of Florimund in SB, and that’s only because he’s late to the party). Apart from those mentioned above, Siegfried picks Odile rather than Odette, Albrecht lies to (and possibly seduces) Giselle, Leontes is a complete jealous rat in The Winter’s Tale, Solor in La Bayadere, feckless James abandoning Effie in La Sylphide, and street hoodlum Romeo ruining Juliet's life in R & J. No doubt there are others but the role of the prince depends on failure, jealousy or (in D G's case) weakness….. I'm sure there are more
  3. Luca Acri stole the show as far as I am concerned
  4. Well, that’s a perspective but I have to say that I positively prefer the Scarlett production. I have never missed the tutor dancing with the children, Siegfried’s friends getting ‘tiddly’, the six dancing princesses …. Oh, I could go on but …..
  5. I've no idea what he was thinking but he looked totally relaxed and happy 😊
  6. For those on BCF who posted on the issue, I am happy to confirm that Luca’s medal was on display (on his chest) in both the final two scenes and at the curtain 😀
  7. Yay 😀😀😀😀 I was keeping my fingers crossed for you. Talk about cutting it fine … 😉
  8. My first ever try with Friday Rush and, after a five minute queue watching the sofa, I got what I wanted. So, no complaints from me. It seemed as straightforward as I’d hoped.
  9. Those were happy days - and nice to see how many of them actually joined the RB 😀
  10. A few members of the RB and other companies appear in the various productions. The showings appear to be between 0615-0800, if anyone is up that early
  11. Hi Mods, I’m genuinely puzzled about why this thread is still in performances and hasn’t moved to new & information?
  12. ….. and Fritz no longer flies (which I miss) ….
  13. I’m sorry @capybara, I now think that my post was probably badly worded. I took exception, wrongly of course, to the use of the word 'strident', which has connotations I dislike and also the suggestion that dancers (indeed any staff) should be given ‘strict instructions'. It’s not they who are filming. But, I did word it poorly. Sorry
  14. I don’t generally care for 'strident' announcements nor for management proscribing and restricting dancers or any other staff members from what they might do in their personal space. I appreciate that the behaviour described by @Garnieris unforgivable but we don’t live in police state (yet) and, in any event, I’d certainly miss @Rob Ss wonderful photos
  15. I always enjoyed watching Tomas dance. He stood out and I wish him all the best for his future
  16. Hi Demi, I assume that you’re waiting for preliminary audition notification. The LCB are very efficient and notify everyone simultaneously, so you should hear with everyone else. Good luck. My daughter danced in the original ‘Secret Garden’ in 2007. She thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
  17. Does anyone know which performances or cast Aiden is dancing Drosselmeyer?
  18. Thanks for your post, it prompted me to check to see if there were any more tickets for the performance I was looking for on 27 December and, as luck would have it, there were 😀
  19. Did you get any photos of Beth? This is the header photo of a 'Friends' email. I’m sure that the Friends editor will have more photos
  20. I’m looking for 2/3 tickets; stalls, stalls circle or SCS. 🤞
