Thank you spannerandpony and dancemad! I feel thoroughly 'welcomed', and DD is very happy about receiving a place. I'm sure she will soon make friends, but being a little shy, I think it just may have made her feel a little more comfortable about the first class, to have known someone. Thanks for your replies.

Hi, I hope we have got this in the right place because we are new to this forum! We are just wondering who else may be starting York scholars this September? My dd auditioned 27th April at 11.45 and is very lucky to have got a yes!! She doesn't know anybody and would be great to be in touch with any other new people especially in the north east. x
