  1. We have used both Aviva & AXA for DD, both with extra physio included (one which transferred to chiropractor sessions when physio was ineffective). Both providers have been great.
  2. Loved, loved, loved the showcase. Saw it 3 times. ???? Have a very tired DD at home today as they were given the day off so she chose her bed at home!! Some very talented students with exciting times ahead.
  3. Haven't heard of a DVD being sold. Didn't find any decent photos of my DD this year either. Off to watch her in the Graduate showcase tonight (& twice tomorrow ????) Excited!
  4. HAIRBELLES, there is a link to photos on the Hammond's website under the Dance section. x
  5. Good luck to all those auditioning. Remember when my DD auditioned for associates, I was so nervous! She got offered a year 7 full time place, which we didn't take up, but she's now in her graduate year there. Love that place so much. Lots of happy memories for me as her Mum. Enjoy your day! xx
  6. I will be at all the showcases, can't wait! x
  7. Hi Meltutu, my DD is currently in her graduate year there, 2dancersmum has covered the extra costs really but if I can help with anything else, just ask. My DD is in her own flat which worked out cheaper but she was 18 when starting so a bit different. As well as health insurance, we've had extra costs for physio/chiro treatment once the level covered by insurance was exhausted. Currently spending £40-£80 per week for treatment but hopefully not long term. Just extra costs like that are worth bearing in mind. x
  8. There is always the option of reauditioning after 6th form, so at 18, maybe a funded place would be offered then. Just something to keep in mind if things don't work out this time around. Good luck. x
  9. I have always darned DD's pointe shoes. Takes about 90 mins per shoe then another 30 mins to do ribbons & elastics. x
  10. The difference between in store & online is you're paying for the service of them being correctly fitted too. I don't know anyone who would pay the cheaper price to order online when even 2 pairs of the exact same size can vary. I can see why you feel as though you may have been ripped off but you're doing your best for your DD and with ballet that doesn't come cheaply. Fingers crossed they last a while. ☺
  11. We've paid high 40s in the past but changed make now.
  12. Lots of people. Larger Sainsburys stores even sell them again.
  13. The day is the same length for all associates and I think it was approx a 10am start and approx 4pm finish. They definitely get a lot out of it & well worth doing. x Classes are approx 1-1.25 hrs per session. Edited to add class times.
  14. Associates does go up to 16, at least it did when my DD was one a few years ago.
