  1. lovely to read and also to read the "whole story" - you must be very very proud of your boy and I wish him every success wherever he chooses to go!
  2. You never know they may change it again next year!
  3. There is a year 5/6 boys only JA class in London in the mornings. Not aware of one that includes Year 4 in boys only
  4. Heard from someone with a yes - they are coming out!
  5. This is going to sound really stupid but does a boy need the same level of turnout as a girl? I have been reading this thread with interest and I'm curious if it's the same for a boy. Sorry for my ignorance!!!
  6. Hi Pinkbex81. My Ds is a JA and auditioned last year. He loved the audition and came out buzzing. The audition class is only an hour and there was nothing that they did that he didn't know how to do. He was also very inflexible and couldn't do the splits etc and they still accepted him so tell your son not to worry and just enjoy the day!
  7. I know of a few yes' for finals for yr7 boys. Does anyone know on average how many boys they take through to finals? Thanks
  8. My DS is a London year 5 JA and I didn't know anything about the October course! Pretty sure I wasn't given any information!
  9. My DS will be 10 by next summer. Has anyone heard of a DD/DS get into RB summer school that young or is that just in exceptional cases? I know the chances of being accepted is minuscule but if they are just 10 is that unheard of? thanks
  10. thanks for all your pm's and suggestions
  11. Does anyone know of a dance physio in Berkshire, Surrey or London they could recommend to me for my DS thanks for reading
  12. My DS does only 45 minutes of ballet a week at his dance school but attends RBS JA's and another JA's on sunday - is that too little. He also does tap and modern during the week as well.
  13. My DC will be doing Ljb with RBS Associate's next year. Ljb have been brilliant this past year
  14. my DS got a yes for London - YAY!!!!!!!!! congratulations to the yes's and fingers crossed to those still waiting

  16. Popsballet - did your DD audition in London for Manchester? Congratulations!!!
  17. hi! What happens if my DD auditioned in London but I also put down Eastleigh as another option. Do we hear with London or Eastleigh? VVV confused!
  18. My DS went to Stagecoach and had a male teacher who he worshipped. His teacher said that he should start ballet and that was it. We are now 3 years in and one associate scheme later and he loves it.
  19. just wanted to say hi. I've got a ballet boy who is now 8 and started ballet at 5. He was the only boy until 18 months ago when another boy joined. He also does LJB associates on a sunday and there are two other boys in his class. He didn't care that he was the only boy when he was! All he wants to do is dance. Why don't you look for an associate scheme for when he is 8?
  20. My 8 year old Ds is already an associate with LJB but he would like to audition for RBS JA's this year. He is not flexible but is trying very hard to do the splits - maybe he will be able to do them by the audition but the likelihood is that he won't and definitely not box splits. Is it worth him auditioning or is everyone auditioning very flexible and is it something that they look for? TIA Con
