  1. Hi oldermum, that's interesting,I had assumed there would be more places available for Y4 children as I assumed it was a new cohort each year as the other children move up. Do you think it is advisable to wait another year then? Is it usual for people to apply a second time if they do not get in at first? I had assumed that you either have what they are looking for [RB potential] or not.
  2. Anyone out there got a son or daughter applying to the JA programme with RBS or Elmhurst this year? We will be auditioning in Manchester in May.Any comments/tips welcome.
  3. Many thanks for your comments, most helpful.
  4. Hi, they only have to be 8 by the 31st August 2012 according to administrator I spoke to today? I think I may leave for this year and focus on the associate auditions.
  5. Hi, I have a 7 year old daughter applying for the RBS and Elmhurst junior associate programmes this year. We will be auditioning in Manchester, is there anyone else on this same journey? Any tips/advice very welcome.
  6. Hi, I have an 7 year old daughter who is applying for the RBS and Elmhurst junior associate programmes later this year. Unfortunately she is unable to apply to EYB this year as her birthday is in July. I was wondering if anyone has experience of the NYB audition process and standard. She is currently studying grade 2 in class and has just started some grade 3 work in a private lesson although she has not taken any formal ballet exams yet [they are in June]. She has taken tap and modern exams but we have recently moved schools and she has been moved up grades so has missed a round of exams. Her teacher is supportive of us applying for the associate programmes and the EYB next year but feels the NYB may be abit advanced at this stage. I am wondering whether to apply for the experience to build her confidence for future auditions but don't want to overwhelm her. Would welcome any comments.
