Does anyone know if the Sadlers Wells performance on the Sunday is matinee or evening? Thanks

Both my girls were accepted into week 5. Does anyone know of any places to stay near white lodge? I did not sign them up for residential. We were always hoping to make it a vacation if they did get in.
If you are looking at hotels rather than Airbnb etc., Richmond Harbour Hotel Is super close to WL. We stayed recently and was great though I'd probably ask for a room at the back of the property.

I just wonder if some people do it in a case they get assessed out in future from WL, so it might help to get a funded place in other school they were offered place in past.
I might just be very cynical but I think it's more likely a case of trophy collecting...
I'm pretty sure an offer 3 years previous won't count for that much and I imagine, if anything, it's frustrating for schools to offer places to children who have no intention of them taking them up.

In the end, it doesn't really matter whether the WL offerees attend their Elmhust/ Tring auditions though because the places will simply be offered to those on the waiting list. It does prolong the agony though!
It doesn't but I still think is a little bad form if you know you are going to accept the WL place... It's nice for as many children to feel they are a school's first choice as possible.
I will be delighted to hang up DD's audition boots in this (very unlikely) event anyway!

@SJBalletI think there's likely to be a lot of movement with the MDS places, as the children who are originally offered the MDS places at Tring are highly likely to also have been offered WL and/ or Elmhurst.
Hopefully WL results will be out before the 18th and anyone offered a place will not attend the funding final.

I think they’ve extended the deadline xx
I emailed to see if they could extend the deadline for us as we are busy with auditions and can't do the photos etc. I wonder if others have asked the same?

Be aware of the £8 congestion charge if you drive into Bham. Personally, I hate driving in Bham city centre. Depending in where you are coming from, try and get a train or tram in from a suburb.
I'm pretty certain that most cars are exempt from the clear air charge? But yes driving in Birmingham isn't the best!

I was just about to warn of the road closures... we almost missed an entire class stuck in traffic coming from town! Definitely better to walk.
It's almost the opposite end of the city but the roof top garden at Birmingham Library is a nice spot to while away a bit of time. Have a lovely day 🙂

I'm not sure of the transport links but Jo De Souza in nearish Tring offers high level (and excellent!) training.

Newcastle results came out this morning - so it’s definitely a staggered process for the first round this year 🙂
Hope you had good news! 🤞🏻 -
Good luck to everyone auditioning today - hope they all have lots of fun.
@MissEmily guidance is either socks or tights for WL audition (just JAs where they've explicitly requested the switch). I hope so anyway as DD's leg are pretty sausage like in tights 😂

This year there are 7 girls from year 11 WL going into upper school in September-4 from the original Year 7.This was from a year group of 16. This is a big increase of WLodgers Into upper school from recent years. There is a good chance of getting into upper school if you have not completed WL.
I hope I'm wrong but the cynic in me suggests this might be a consequence of Covid and people not as wanting to travel abroad so much....
(not to take away from the, i'm sure, brilliant WL students)

Aren't RBS (admirably) just celebrating diversity and inclusivity?
I am VERY skeptical of the aims and motives of LGBAlliance & LGBFightBack but guess that discussion isn't really for these boards...

We’re JA3 and year 5
In Birmingham JA3 is a year 6 girls class (guessing it must vary by centre).

Afraid I can't open the image on my pad!
Sorry it says 'Measure from the waist to below the knee, add 10cm for turning up hem etc. You will need this overall length x 3, plus an extra 10cm from the waistband'.
(we found it easier to use the make up service offered 😃)
