  1. My DD dance teacher has always said to keep ears shut to all the rubbish that is said, unless it comes from an official source. Quite a lot Ive heard ive had to stifle a laugh as some of it is quite ridiculous. All will be revealed at finals, no point in speculation :-)
  2. Congrats to you and your DD, should see you there, very exciting!! Getting to White Lodge is really easy depends on where you are staying really as there are a few gates in, also if wet order a taxi as its a good walk through the park to white lodge. Hope this helps x

  5. Hi Bou, I to am new to the forum. My DD has been a JA and is in her 3rd year. I would thoroughly recommend your dd auditions. They do a short class audition, which you cant watch but the children seem to enjoy. She was luckily placed on the waiting list and within a month offered another centre (which we accepted) Her ballet has come on in leaps and bounds, they do an awful lot of body conditioning and are expected to do exercises at home each eve also. They are invited each year to the Royal Opera House to watch a pre general rehearsal. They usually get a workshop once a year too. Class vary in size, one is for Y4/5 and then a class for Y6. The experiences my DD have been thoroughly outstanding. You can also apply for funding if needed too and isn't frowned upon. I know of 'princesses' who also auditioned and got no's year after year, it is based on potential, body proportions, not exam results and other succesess. Good Luck x
  6. Hi, MVOBE, I am new to the forum but my dd is a JA. We are currently waiting for results for lower school, but have been offered finals for Elmhurst and Hammond. A parent asked at our last session if we could ask our JA teacher for feedback. We were told that the teachers do NOT give feedback to parents, however your local dance teacher is allowed to ring the JA admin office at Covent Garden and they will discuss with them. Hope this helps. Also the franking machine was broken at Covent Garden so that has delayed the results being sent. Apparently Manchester audition results were being posted today. Good Luck to all still waiting.
