    My daughter was originally offered a scholarship but then an mds became available. I think the % of scholarship depends on your earnings.

    Well it is with a heavy heart that we have turned down my daughters upper school place and mds at Tring as she has chosen her place at Central. I hope that a fellow balletcoforum dc gets a lovely offer soon.

    Just found out today that my dd has been offered a place at Central upper school. She is so happy. That is the fourth offer she has so there are some big decisions to make in the next couple of days.

    Just got our letter from Tring and my daughter has been given funding for the upper school dance course. She is so happy!!!! Just waiting for elmhurst results and Central and Scottish finals!!!

    My daughter has been given a place but it was the funding final that we are waiting for the results for.

    The lower school results came out last week but we are waiting for the upper school results. Hopefully it will be today. Fingers crossed.

    I hope so tutugirl. We are waiting for both Tring and Elmhurst results. The stress is awful.

    Just wondering if anyone has had their results of Tring upper school dance funding finals. My daughter was given a physio appointment along with her friend who has already received her results. We are still waiting.

    I have been reading this topic closely and feel compelled to add our experience. My daughter (year 9) is at a top uk lower school and has been since year 7. She is incredibly happy and always has been. She has had amazing experiences and opportunities which will stay with her forever. The pastoral care has been great and very supportive when we have needed help. I also feel that the teaching, both academically and dancing is exceptional. We are now in the process of auditioning my older daughter for upper schools, something we would never consider if my younger daughter were not so happy and healthy in her school. My daughters are in love with dance and it is an amazing opportunity to be able to follow your dreams.

    Bluelou we received my daughters email before lunch. I would call them tomorrow morning. They may have just made an error and overlooked your daughters email.

    I’m so excited!!! Just had a letter from elmhurst and my daughter has been offered a final audition. I can’t stop smiling.😁

    I emailed elmhurst yesterday and the upper school results have been sent out today so should arrive either tomorrow or Saturday. Nerves are jingling in our house.

    Well we have had to turn down my daughters place for week four of the white lodge summer school so some lucky lady may be getting a lovely email soon.

    My eldest daughter has been on the CAT Scheme for four years now and she loves every minute of it. So much so that she would love to stay there forever.

    Yes amos73, the letter from elmhurst arrived on Wednesday 25th March last year. I've still kept it even though my dd did not end up going to this particular school I was still so proud of her gaining a place. I really loved the school.

    The yes envelopes last year were A4 size and quite thick. Good luck everyone.

    Good luck to the 10 girls and one boy from Northern Ballet CAT scheme who all have finals at Central and Scottish next week and to the ones with finals at ENB and Elmhurst. Good luck, also, to all of the other dc's auditioning next week.

    My dd is in year 7 at WL and definately doesn't have sway back legs!! She was hyper mobile in seven of nine places tested but not in her knees. Lots of factors go onto making a good dancer such as musicality, artistry, a good brain etc. Sway backs are only a small part of the larger picture.
