  1. She'll be Year 10 Senior Ass. I guess it's do-able if she were to miss one of each and then the extra Ass day where the EYB performance is. So she could do 28 of the 30 SA days and 10 of the 11 EYB rehearsals. I just worry because I believe at the end of the Yr 10 they have an assessment to see if they can keep their place for Year 11 and I wouldn't want to mess that up because of attendance. We will register for the audition and then will have time to check out the general feeling about it when she starts in Sept before making a decision.
  2. Aaargh! Thanks, will look through those threads later. She hasn't done EYB before so was really keen to do it but equally it's the first time for RB Associates and I would hate her to miss 3 days and then for it to be mentioned in an assessment at the end. Will have to think on it.
  3. We've just moved from ISTD Grade 6 to RAD Intermediate and Adv 1 Foundation classes so this is all new to us too. We were told that the graded exams were more for those not looking to dance professionally whilst the "Inter" etc are "vocational" exams. You can do both alongside each other though. Also I've found that not all schools seem to do the Inter Foundation or Adv 1 Foundation and some skip straight to Inter and Adv 1 as apparently the Foundation exams aren't compulsory.
  4. DD is wanting to take part in EYB this year. Three of the dates (two for rehearsals and one for the performance) clash with Associates. Do you think it's worth auditioning or will the expect 100% attendance? She can make 9 out of 11 rehearsals. Thanks.
  5. Oh, I assumed if it was a "no thanks" that you just wouldn't hear anything at all. Still no email here but guessing it will be unlikely as she would be going into Y11.
  6. Well I emailed to ask for confirmation that they had our application and the email this morning said the selection process will take place over the next few days so perhaps that's just something they say or perhaps there will be more emails still to go out...
  7. Thanks tutu girl. I have sent an email and will ring first thing Monday if I don't hear back. It was weird because the lady on the post office counter (little village shop) kind of dumped it on the side and I thought to myself "I bet that won't get there"!!! Grrr! DD is 14 (current Y9)
  8. Did everyone get a confirmation email?? We didn't! Must have sent the form two to three weeks ago so am now stressing that they may not even have received it? Has anybody heard anything? Thanks
  9. Can you tell me if rehearsals are on both Saturdays and Sundays? I'm wondering how much it will clash with Associates etc. Thanks.
