My Ds was a RBS JA and is now in vocational ballet school. He did not have flat turnout 150/180. My DD went to vocational ballet school lower and upper and had better turn out 165/180. Both have, long limbs, long neck, strength, passion, musicality and performance.- 49 replies

My Ds wears one from wear moi which are pricey but comfortable. When he was younger Capitzio in their London shop had American style that was more like pants with a added bit of support for the tummy muscles built in. It came in a boys and small mens size.x

Wear Moi Elan is a fully padded white leotard. You can get it from Dance Direct. Capezio do a boys full dance support in their London store.x

I was talking about total girls in each year not just MDS or bursaries. So 14 Elmhurst, 12 Royal, 14 Hammond and 7 Tring equals total 47.x

50 in total. 12 Royal,14 Hammond, 7 Tring =33 then Elmhurst who take apx 17 to 20.x

Equally though quite a few JA's will go on to full time training. For example around 50 places in total for girls in total in the 4 main schools. I would think at least 30 were JA's.x

I find it interesting that there are more MT courses and bigger intakes than classical schools. Is there really lots more MT jobs? Surely the first hurdle at any audition is the ballet class as most want sound classical training as it's the Base of all dance.x

There are alot more in yr1 than yr2 or 3. Assessment at end of year one.x

All England Regionals are run very well. I know people who privately enter every time have done for years so must be a good experience. The staff are always lovely and helpful.National finals are a wonderful experience too.x
