Did anyone go to Elmhurst last Sunday to watch the Cecchetti competition? I enjoyed it immensely and was encouraged to see such a large number of candidates .

Aged 14 yrs . Tutu wanted please - any colour considered - but she doesn’t have a huge budget .

Bit of a long shot . But I’ve hired a tutu and it doesn’t fit . My show is next week . White or white / silver tutu required for snowflake ballet . She is an adult S but has a very long torso . Happy to hire or buy - but must be quick !! Many thanks

I have 3 former students there - years 8, 10 and 13. All doing really well . They are very happy too .

I was privileged to watch the dress rehearsal yesterday , as I’m teaching all this evening . From beginning to end , the technique was flawless . Every number was beautifully rehearsed with barely a mistake . It was a wonderfully diverse programme too , with ballet , repertoire, pas de deux , contemporary , flamenco and character dances . There was even a song thrown in ( and beautifully delivered ) for good measure . I have been to many school shows at all the top vocational schools over the years - both as a parent and as a teacher , and this is one of the few that I would have happily have watched again …..and again . The rep in Act 3 was outstanding , and every single student was focussed and confident . It was clear to see why Moorlands have done so well in the recent Cecchetti competitions - their training is first class .

Still places available in the Inter and Advanced groups . We have one of the cast of Hairspray coming to teach jazz , as well as our other guest teachers . I am offering scholarships for boys .
