  1. Heard of a girl auditioning for the first time at royal ballet and getting into senior associates for the second year. She took her intermediate exam not long after being accepted, that's what level she was at.
  2. Good luck to everyone!! Big hugs to mums dads brothers and sisters!!
  3. My daughter really enjoyed the elmhurst summer school. I think the teachers rotated so taught younger and older. The 14 year olds got one room mate - same age and were in the same house block and the older ones got single rooms with en suite. My daughter said her room mate was lovely. She said the food was lovely and varied and snacks available.Evening entertainment was enough because of the busy day dancing 9-5. They then went back to the common room so again was with same ageS. My daughter said all the elmhurst students that were there were really nice and welcoming and everyone else she met was too. In her dance class (about 20) again based on age about half were from the school but she felt the level was fine for her. She made some personal notes for her technique and enjoyed learning all the rep. Good chance to dance with a male partner too.
  4. Congratulations to all involved! What a wonderful performance!!

  16. Does anyone know roughly what time the students arrive on the first Sunday and what time they roughly finish on the following Saturday? Also is it just a straight pick up or are you allowed to watch the final class.
  17. Congratulations to all the good news and sorry for any that are disappointed. My daughter got a no every year for ja's and ma's and has been put on the short wait list for SA's! She is over the moon this time that it wasn't a no letter. And this time there is a glimmer of hope. We are thankful to All her current teachers for continuing to support her in her passion! And as parents so proud

  20. My daughter really enjoyed the northern ballet summer school in Leeds. She made new friends- one was French. class sizes were big cannot remember how many however she thought standard of teaching was very high and got corrections that she made a note of in her notepad.also there were cat students in her group so that gave her an incentive to work hard to be as good as them we stayed over in a lovely caravan in the country 15 min drive from Leeds so my son could kick his ball about and had lovely week.
