  5. Oh yes billyelliot can see it all now. I think I looked ages ago and forgot and what confused me is that my daughter spoke to someone last week who is hoping for a January audition and it confused me that's all. Too many dates spinning around in my head at the moment. Lol.
  6. Does anyone know which date the upper school auditions are on or is it all year groups mixed on the published dates ?
  7. If you google NHS 'change for life'.They used to have healthy meals and snacks suitable for children. Not sure if any can be used for 'on the go' but my older children love most of the recipes. Today I'm making bogeyman soup for after a cold football match
  8. Hope everything goes ok for your son x
  9. Dance activate in Leicester. Ballet associates are once a month on a Sunday. Purely classical ballet. Excellent teaching.

  12. Positive thoughts from us as well!!
  13. I phoned up about the track suit bottoms as my daughter has 32 inch legs. They informed me the girls wouldn't be long enough and the boys would be long enough but way to wide.
  14. English national ballet have an audition workshop class on one of the days. I think it's the Monday. Details are on their website.
  15. My daughter got invited to attend the sports award evening at her secondary school. They included a section of awards for students who represent county level and above. My daughter was awarded a trophy for excellence in ballet in this category for getting into royal ballet sa's this year. The head teacher also included a nice little speech. Sadly I missed it as I had to take my son to football however my husband said it brought a tear to his eye! We are very lucky to have a very supportive school.
  16. The performance was very enjoyable to watch, and overall a lovely evening. I was amazed at the wide selection of routines and dance styles performed, from a stunning swan lake to sensational spanish and jazz. The dancers showed great versatality and posed individual talents which were lovely to see shine through on certain routines and throughout the choreography. I was very surprised at the variety of physiques and heights of dancers from tall to small. The costumes were incredible throughout, and the added touch of a live orchestra in the first half sounded esquisite! The partnering and groups for the formations in the routines were chosen well, and characters and roles for 'the penguin cafe' were also. The venue was stunning and we were made to feel welcome; we didnt realise we could get tickets for the show until we found out on ballet co, so thank you for that! (A little review from my dd!) x
  17. Thanks everyone. Didn't want to think we'd been forgotten about
  18. Has anyone received any further information yet regarding the summer school ?
  19. My daughter doesn't like the studio at Manchester. She said it was very sticky and not very good for pirouette's. They also had to warm up in a very small changing room. My daughter much preferred Birmingham as they got to warm up in a studio first.
