  1. My Ds was successful in receiving a travel bursary. Cornwall to Covent Garden ???? It took a while to hear but they are very good at responding to emails. Good luck x
  2. Australian dancers as well as other nationalities already audition for Elmhurst. This just saves them traveling. I am presuming due to the distance, that a majority of applicants would be for sixth form.
  3. No discount for one on an MDS and one on a DaDa ☹️
  4. Prelims are together and finals separate as I recall.
  5. It's 5th September drop off for Dd and 1st for Ds. I thought packing for one was bad ???? We have hired a bus to transport all their kit. Our house will be very empty tomorrow ???? Safe journey everyone ????
  6. Vocational students are not allowed to apply for the Cinderella Dreams audition ☹️
  7. Last minute places for OPES ! Due to injuries we have places on our amazing Summer School OPES. We offer great classes but also the opportunity to learn a great deal of repetoire and, if of the right age, you have the wonderful chance to do pas de deux as we get alot of very good boys. Week 1 ( 31st July-5th August )=1 place Week 2 ( 7th August-12th August)= 3 places. Please PM if interested. Much love❤
  8. Another review !! http://www.seeingdance.com/elmhurst-22072016/
  9. My Ds was a very young 15 at US auditions last year. He was both short and skinny ! He was unsuccessful and went to his local school to do A levels and continued to train. After growing and filling out he re- auditioned this year and will commence US in September in 6:1. I know of young ladies also starting USs at 17 and 18. It is difficult sometimes to predict the finished product. Dd is following her brothers pattern ????
  10. Hello, IBStage !! Does anyone have any experience of this ballet summer intensive in Barcelona ? Thank you x
  11. I loved it ! My family and friends loved it ! And most importantly my lower school daughter loved performing in it ! Offended ??? Not at all ! Bring it on ! If they were perfect there would be no need for training. Even RBS and BRB get panned accasionally ????
  12. If you earn any interest from savings that has to be declared ????
  13. It becomes clearer when you fill in the MDS forms. They ask for your children's paper round earnings ????????
  14. As I remember it they specifically ask for superannuation contributions on the MDS form. We were told that it had to be included in our gross income as it was money that we had earned but were choosing to put away for the future. Our choice. We sort financial advice about freezing our contributions to help with the school fees but we were strongly advised against doing that. It hurts to watch it come out every month ☹️
  15. If you send off both your March wage slip and your P60 they can see your pension contributions. Both my husband and I have NHS pensions. They are included in the gross income figure. ☹️
  16. Hi, My Ds is in his first year of A levels / nearly 17 and will be joining Elmhurst 6:1 in September. Technically repeating the year but getting 3 years of ballet training. He is lucky that 3 of his 4 A levels he can do an AS exam in and the other is being transferred. At the prelims this year I met other 17 and even 18 year olds !
  17. I know of a couple that had emails go astray last year ! Contact them, they are very helpful. And good luck ????
  18. Congratulations Ballet4boyz ! So pleased for you and your Ds ???? Xx
  19. My Dd was at Malvern too ???? Congratulations to those successful DDs and so sorry for the not this times. We have experienced no's, reserve lists and yes's on our journey too. Keep going xx
