I agree that the shape of gymnasts seem to have changed somewhat in recent years but Svetlana seems to prove that you don't really need all that bulky muscle to be very strong. I'd rather see less rotations but do with more speed as a challenge. Olga Korbet is probably a one off in her rather impish and delightful style of performance. MumToTu Posted April 28, 2015 Share Posted April 28, 2015 (edited) I love Sletvana Khorkinas floor, I love her style of tumbling too the beautiful whip into a triple twist, it looks so pretty and effortless. I wonder if the change in style we see in gymnastics today is down to a stronger USA influence in the sport now. I wonder how much more difficult can some of their skills get, there must be a limit on what is humanly possible!
