alison
I wonder whether the absence of reviews of Eifman's Onegin thus far is just a reflection of publication priorities over a bank holiday weekend, or whether the critics all had other things to attend to? Ian Macmillan
Alison: Had a quick scout an hour or so ago - grey and damp up here with no sign of relief! The Indy was the only one with anything at that point - Zoë Anderson not hugely impressed.

Tony Newcombe
I hope everything works out for them. In the early 1990's a few of them guested with the Royal Ballet and I will never forget what a pleasure it was to see the wonderful Virginia Johnson as Giselle. Jan McNulty
I enjoyed Sarah Crompton's piece on Fred Astaire and Top Hat. I saw Tom Chambers in the musical at the Lowry last year. To my way of thinking, and much to his merit, he put his own stamp on the part and didn't try to play Fred Astaire playing the role.

Ian Macmillan
Janet: A very odd Telegraph day - they also have a Celeb News piece on the Dance page, purely on account of a single mention of the word 'ballet' in a snippet about Oona Chaplin. In a similar vein, we could fill the thread every day with pieces mentioning 'ballet flats' or 'ballet pumps' if we relied simply on search engines.
