Non UK & German 2019-2020 Seasons ...

Joffrey 2019-20 Season also includes Marston's Jane Eyre - so not just ABT.  Very much now an international fixture it seems.  A well deserved feather in both her own and NBT's cap.

Here is the 2019/20 Season for the Segerstrom Arts Center in CA.  Nice to see that P. Feeney - so closely associated for so long with Northern Ballet - whose music most recently facilitated Marston's thrilling Jane Eyre and Victoria - will be arranging the score for Ratmansky's exciting West Coast ABT World Premiere.  Interesting too that the MIKHAILOVSKY orchestra will accompany La Scala's Oneign at this venue.

https://www.ocregister.com/2019/04/20/segerstrom-center-announces-2019-20-international-dance-series/

“La Bayadère”: Mariinsky Ballet and Orchestra under Artistic Director Valery Gergiev will perform Marius Petipa’s iconic ballet with revised choreography by Vladimir Ponomarev and Vahtang Chabukiani with dances by Konstantin Sergeyev and Nikolai Zubkovsky. The Mariinsky Orchestra will perform the music, composed by Ludwig Minkus. Oct. 16-20.

Alexei Ratmansky world premiere: American Ballet Theatre will debut choreographer Ratmansky’s as yet untitled work, based on the ancient Greek novel “Callirhoe.” The Pacific Symphony will play the score, written by Aram Khachaturian and arranged by Philip Feeney. March 5-8.

“Onegin”: John Cranko’s three-act ballet, based on the novel by Alexsandr Puškin, will be staged by Teatro Alla Scala Ballet Company under Ballet Director Frédéric Olivieri. The score by Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky, arranged and orchestrated by Kurt-Heinz Stolze, will be performed by the Mikhailovsky Orchestra. July 31-Aug. 2, 2020.

Plus ABT's Nutcracker December 13-22

I saw this and was hopi it would clarify the latter half of 2019 but  unfortunately it didn’t. No clearer on what’s happening in December 2019/early  January 2020.

This will be Atlanta Ballet's 2nd time with Vespertine--I thought it looked fabulous on the company in 2017.  They are premiering a new Scarlett to Glass's Violin concerto next week.

NYU's CBA (Center for Ballet and the Arts) announces 2019/20 Fellows - Included in these are the British choreographer GEORGE WILLLIAMSON

http://www.nyu.edu/about/news-publications/news/2019/april/the-center-for-ballet-and-the-arts-at-nyu-announces-2019-2020-fe.html

George's self determined CBA brief is as follows:

At CBA, Williamson aims to develop a new way of working with classical language, exploring how to engage with complicated current issues through ballet without either diluting the art form or descending into cliché. Working intimately with a group of dancers and collaborating with dramaturgs and contributors from other fields, he will develop a way of working which seeks to allow him to tell complex, contemporary narratives through ballet. He intends to challenge how classical dance is seen, to expand his skills as a choreographer, and to develop a way of creating ballets that engage with a diverse, modern audience in new and innovative ways.

Also included as a Fellow is NYCB principal JARED ANGLE (brother of Tyler who local London audiences recently saw in Ivan Putrov's gala recently).

J. Angle;'s CBA brief is as follows:

As a dancer known for partnering skills, Angle wants to explore the style and technique of partnering in George Balanchine’s ballets, and hopes to define what he has spent his career practicing. Angle is also interested in the ways that Balanchine’s ballet partnering technique can be used in new ways and to portray different relationships onstage.

Ballet Arizona: 2019/20 season - https://balletaz.org/next-season-performances/  includes Ashton's Les Patineurs; Balanchine's Bourrree Fantasque and a full length Napoli ...

I just looked at Les Pats triple out of interest as Arizona has always appealed as a State to visit, but the tickets are SO dear - on a par with ROH I think!  Over $100 for the front row circle and $128 at the back wow!

Judging from Nunez's Instagram feed she's doing a lot of away dancing at the moment as has Muntagirov. Presumably they are allowed in their contracts. Nunez has been in Italy Poland and further afield recently.

I see that the Chaillot programme features the Royal Ballet performing Merce Cunningham's Cross Currents - presumably we'll see it in London as well.

Given the scope of the piece (and given the fact that it is also to appear in the NYC Joyce season that KOH is coordinating this summer) - were this to happen in London - I should think it would be one of the RB Linbury features - but, as reported elsewhere, all will be revealed tomorrow in reference to that particular UK 2019/20 season.

Nice breakdown of the Kennedy Center 2019/20 season here.

Another poster has elsewhere kindly listed the Hong Kong Ballet 2019/20 season (via her own website) but will also post the Company announcement here as it falls under this strand's jurisdiction.  Interesting brand pictures can additionally be seen here
