Ok, I know it's still August but the mumsnet Christmas bargains thread is on number 4 & the Christmas section is now on the Matalan website.

They've got lots of Nutcracker themed stuff plus a ballerina tree ornament.

The Range had a lovely ballerina decoration last year.

Any boys related gifts people have seen, I’d appreciate the ideas!! 🙈

Good luck with that. DVDs of ballets maybe? Military style dance bags? Those little keyring ballet shoes in manly colours like red, black, yellow? A nutcracker for the tree?

I feel a bit sad reading this.....all my DD really wants for birthdays and Christmas is money/gift cards nowadays. That's growing up and student life for you I suppose, but I do miss the days when a ballet themed necklace or toiletries would have been a welcome gift. 😭

Particularly interested if anyone comes across any ballerina tree decorations. We have been buying our dd one every year since she was a year 4 JA and promised we would do so until she has finished her training - we are now in 6:1. 😝

The problem is, the ornaments have to have good technique and every one I've found this year has been met with a disdainful look and comments such as "No way mom, just look at her feet!"

Give me strength!!

Paperchase has a lovely range of nutcracker wrapping paper and gift boxes/bags, with ribbon,  confetti and even nutcracker patterned sellotape! Also some (very cute) little nutcracker pegs and a musical ballerina card. John Lewis also has nutcracker greeting cards. Have just realised I may sound a little obsessed! 😂

Not a gift-but for those that send Christmas cards- the RNLI have a lovely card this year. Dancers at the barre with yellow RNLI wellies on. Had to buy a few packs when I saw them.

I think that was part of a joint initiative with BRB last year!  The cards look great!

I don't know if this is available to those of you in the UK, but the RAD Australia shop is now online and has some pretty cute stuff like journals and makeup brushes - https://royal-academy-of-dance-merchandise.myshopify.com/pages/gifts-accessories

I particularly like the 'Stylish RAD Dance Bag'. I just wish there were more pictures, I never buy a bag I haven't seen the inside of.

I popped into that Aladdin's Cave of advent calendars, the Medici Gallery outside South Kensington station, yesterday, and spotted a rather stunning (and large) ballet-themed advent calendar - a theatre stage with lots of dancers on it.  Unfortunately, it didn't have a price on it, that I could see, but there were a few left.
