loveclassics
I'm sure I've asked before but I cannot remember how to post a link without displaying the entire URL. John, could you please remind me of the correct procedure? Thanks Linda
Jan McNulty
On the tool bar there is a little symbol that, to me, looks like a handcuff. So if I wanted to "tidy" this link: http://www.balletcoforum.com/index.php?/topic/13966-are-taller-dancers-more-prone-to-injury/ I would type the text I want to use - e.g. "details in this link". Then highlight the word "link" and click on the handcuff symbol. That will give you a box that you can put the URL in. Details in this link Job done! Fonty
When I was trying to post a link to another website the other day, I used the handcuff link as that is the one I would normally use on websites, and it simply didn't work. I just gave up in the end! It may, of course, have something to do with Youtube and the links I was trying to post. Some of them are a little temperamental, to put it mildly. Jan McNulty
I don't use the handcuff for Youtube, I just post the whole link and 99 times out of 100 when you post you get the picture preview.
