Buddy
"Unexpected Ballet" http://improveverywhere.com/2015/08/04/unexpected-ballet/#more-7974 (Posted today by Janet) I love going to Washington Square in NYC as much as I do Covent Garden for the street performers. I love street performers anywhere. In Covent Garden they do opera as well as rock and acrobatics. The “Unexpected Ballet” group shows up in Washington Square proposing a break dance show and morphs into ballet. If opera can be performed in the streets, why not ballet. I know that it’s done from time to time but not normally as a scheduled recurrence. If good ballet dancers with some imagination were more common in the streets, ballet could maybe become more accessible and appreciated. Here’s how “Unexpected Ballet” does it. Buddy
This broadens our scope somewhat. Seems like there might even be a message here. Take five, but not too seriously. Edited August 6, 2015 by Buddy

loveclassics
I've watched it several times and I'm still smiling at the memory. I sent the link to a ballet-loathing friend of mine and she loved it too. I suspect it's the old 'white tights and tutus' vibe that turns off so many people but they actually like the movement when they get to see it presented informally.
