Lack of Royal Ballet news (cast changes)

I think that's enough about the horrific price of a glass of champagne at the Savoy. Very informative, but back to ROH announcements (lack of) please.

Mukhamedov's dates and casts are here
  4. The blurb on the ROH Attending a Performance page is almost certainly out of date. I would phone. The box office number is 020 7304 4000 - they may be able to tell you or put you through to someone who can.
  5. This just in: This is a 15% discount code for the Darcey Bussell and Carlos Acosta Telegraph Legends event I'm hosting. You just put the code in if you want to book tickets when you visit the link below. 6. At present the arrangements are as they have been since they closed the old box office i.e. the pick up or leave point for tickets on the evening is inside the portico. I was pleasantly surprised last night that the new arrangements seemed less troublesome than the old as far as getting in was concerned. It felt strange but pleasant to be able to walk into the Opera House without a scrum at the doors as they checked tickets and bags. Ticket checking at the entrances to the various seating areas seemed to work well with little delay.

Now that the run has started, should we have a new thread for discussion of the performances?

    New book(?) on Edward Watson

I think the 250 copy limited edition aspect is probably just a realistic (or optimistic) assessment of the number likely to be sold for £950, and a sales gimmick. Rick Guest's other two dancer books sell for £50 so I suppose it might appear in book format at that sort of price, but not soon.

    New book(?) on Edward Watson

In defence of the price, this isn't a book. It's a collection of 30 very large format prints (65 x 50cm) with an accompanying booklet, presumably all in a nice box. That works out at about 30 quid a print which isn't bad if one thinks of it as an art publication.
