  1. The show was in May, and no one has been able to get any response from Angela. Luckily I know the guy who shot the DVD so I am getting some for as many people as I can but it is very frustrating. Thank you BankruptMum, we are very proud of her!
  2. My DD got the junior scholarship place and it was her first ever audition. She loved the experience, the show was lovely and everyone got time to shine. After doing EYB this year I can see that RYB was on a much smaller scale and on a completely different level, but still just as enjoyable. Communication was a bit of an issue at some points, but I have to say they worked around my DD's other dancing commitments allowing her to continue with everything as well as taking part in the show. We haven't received our DVD or any answers to our communication asking about its whereabouts which is very upsetting after we had worked so closely together, and has marred the end of what was a lovely experience for DD.
  3. How amazing was that performance?!!! EYB have given my daughter so much and the show was magnificent!
  4. Will have to make sure we meet for a chat blackqueen!
  5. I am Chaperoning on Thursday, Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. X
  6. We have just returned from the EYB Oxford casting day and DD has been given the part of a cygnet! She is a very happy (and tired) girl! X
  7. She was in two groups in the same section and the one that didn't go through came second at The Nationals 2 years ago, so it was a surprise today, but it's nice for the little ones in the group as they have never experienced the finals before.
  8. My dd's classical character group went through today at Sedgley so we will be off to London in July!
  9. My dd was going to audition but she was performing with another company on Sunday, and I hadn't been able to get a DVD of her in time for the audition deadline
  10. We are in Sedgley on Friday! Good luck everyone.
  11. My DD is also doing Swan Lake in Oxford and is this weekend performing with the Regoinal Youth Ballet which has had a similar rehearsal schedule, although this has been 12 hours each weekend for six weeks! She has loved every minute of it but has also been very tired. She is 9 years old. She is very excited about EYB and not put off at all by the hours of hard work and she has made some lovely young friends during her time with RYB too. The overall experience has been extremely rewarding.
  12. Well the waiting for Elmhurst is over anyway! Received a "sorry not this time" letter today. Not unexpected I have to say, but we were still secretly hoping! Now cross that we didn't apply to RBS as well though for the experience, as she did enjoy the audition! there's always next year!
  13. Fingers crossed for all of you, we are waiting for associate results as dd is desperate to get in to Elmhurst with a view of carrying on through to year 7 and beyond!, scary stuff though, so much to consider!!
  14. It is so hard for them and us!!!! Elmhurst did say 7-10 days at the associate audition and it's been 9 days so hopefully not too long now! It's been just over 4 weeks for ISTD ballet and just over 3 weeks for ISTD tap, so again hopefully not long! Good luck with the 6th form place!
  15. It makes you appreciate the auditions where they tell you straight away!! At least that helps to ease the pain of the wait for the others!! On the positive side we had first places at festivals today and dd scholarship performance with Regional Youth Ballet is this coming weekend!
