Thanks again to all you advice. She loves ballet and dancing but the decision was based on it being a good independent school as well as she is academic. We were 19th on the reserve list so we’re never going to be offered MDS and decided we can’t live on what ifs if she attended. We have turned the place down now as if it’s been an emotional rollercoaster for us all and I want dd to be able to enjoy summer knowing she is going to the local high school with her friends. She is an associate of the school will continue with that. Please can I ask though what is a CAT scheme people have mentioned? thanks x

Thank you to everyone’s support and advice as my dd wasn’t lucky enough to be offered MDS or high enough on the list to be considered we have emailed Hammond today declining our offer with bursary so we can move on with our life. Good luck to everyone is waiting and congratulations to everyone that has been successful 💕

Can I ask advice my dd has place at Hammond for entrance in to Year 7 but no MDS with bursary we could send her in September will be extremely tight and five years of hardship and help from our family. Is there any chance of her getting MDS while she is at Hammond or better talking the chance or re auditioning next year??! Thanks x

My daugter didn’t qualify for MDS this year but has a place if she attends and starts in september and I pay fees at a later date if anyone leaves who has an MDS place do they ever pass that on to a pupil already enrolled ? X

Can I ask can you apply for MDS if you are at Hammond fee paying?

So I have just been told your number out of 62 denotes the reserve list. Pupils with MDS aren’t included so 19 is not achievable.

I think she is 19th reserve as her friend is number 4 reserve she has been told. It’s all new to us. Thank you to every ones messages and support xx

I have spoken to Hammond my dd is 19 out of 62 so highly unlikely anything will change for her and the bursary isn't enough. Congratulations to everyone else and back to associates for her.

And is the tally just from the funding audition or/and entrance audition?

Does anyone know if at the Hammond the non verbal reasoning test goes towards the points tally?

Does everyone that doesn’t get MDS funding go on the reserve list?
