    My DD is thinking of doing the Masters of Arts in Education (Dance Teaching) with Royal Academy of Dance. She is a registered ballet teacher with another organisation. Has anyone done this course, is it heavy going, advice on fees? Any comments or advice on the course appreciated.

    Hi Swan Princess - we went to our nearest carpet showroom at the weekend and bought a remnant piece of slip resistant lino, it works perfectly! Hopefully you'll find one near you too.

    Well, we went to the museum behind the Alexandrinsky Theatre - The Museum of Theatre and Music. It was small but beautiful. One room dedicated to ballet, but it was beautifully presented. Definitely worth the visit.

    Hi all, Could anyone let me know if there is any type of ballet museum in St. Petersburg? I have searched google and found Opera and Theatre museum but it only seem to have a very small section. Is there anything else that is a must see for ballet fans? We are going to see a ballet but would really love to find a museum if there is such a thing.

    thanks everyone for your help. I've had another look and there are absolutely no 1st row seats available in any of the tiers so even sitting separately won't help. I think at this point I'm lucky to even get the ones I've found, there are so few seats left, so it must be a good one! The show features Alina Somova and Kimin Kim.

    thank you for the replies - unfortunately the show is almost sold out and these are the only 6 seats together, there are only the last 6 in second row of the dress circle but they are more expensive. There are some in the stalls but it makes for a very pricey birthday treat!

    There are 6 of us going to see Don Quixote in the Mariinsky. We've never been before but could anyone advise if 1st tier Right side Box 8 Row 2 would be a good place to sit? I'm just hoping its not too far away and its not obstructed. Also, any tips would be great also!

    Ladies, may I ask what full-time schools your girls are looking at for 16+ training? My dd is also vaganova trained and would really prefer to keep this up.
