Totally agree. I didnβt use You Tube this time so that I couldnβt be tempted into second guessing. Iβve been down this path with one child already and know that it is impossible to guess what results will be for Associates or vocational school and there are surprises every year. Good luck to everyone involved π

Please donβt feel guilty. Youβre her Mum not her teacher. You can only do your best. They will see how she can dance from the videos and what her physique is like from the pictures. It really is the best you can do at the moment and you shouldnβt beat yourself up for it.

I wonder if theyβll take more Year 6βs this time as they didnβt seem to take many Year 5βs last year? π€
-
At least there are some then. Significantly smaller numbers than other years though I think π
-
Has anyone heard of any Year 5 yesβs? I havenβt heard of any. They seem to be quite thin on the ground...
-
It's when they're MA's they mainly only offer London...

Well done to her ππππ. My DC is also starting in Sept: Year 7 π

Also, it's lovely news that she got vocational school. Where was she offered a place ππππππππ

Good luck to those still waiting for their Elmhurst results, this morning ππππ

Do you know about when the email will be sent? π

The post has come. No Elmhurst result today. Anyone else heard? π¬

Thank you π

Anyone know whether offer letters contain information about whether your child has been awarded an MDS, or not? DC has been prepped that if there is no MDS, for Elmhurst, then we wouldn't be able to accept anyway. This is going to be a long week....

I don't think there was one this year but I would be happy to be corrected π¬π

Thank you. I have an impatient DC in this house ππ

Associate Programs - do you ever receive feedback?

I genuinely don't really know which is the easiest. However, I would have thought it would be better to join in Year 5 to make the most of the program. And yet, there are many who've gone on to WL having joined in Year 6. Probably, best to be guided by your dancing teachers and audition for every year, if the teacher thinks it's appropriate. Particularly, considering how many no's the kids get. If you want it, just keep knocking at that door π -

JA's don't usually get assessed out. MA's are assessed each year and so can be. The most common year, for entry, as a JA, is Year 5. They are quite lengthy classes for Year 4 candidates really. I would imagine this would probably mean that it is more difficult to get in at Year 6. However, in my DC's JA's, I believe there were at least 5 that joined in Year 6. -
Thank you Pointy Toes. Is that 30 boys, and girls, or just 30 girls? It doesn't seem like that many. I know I am overthinking this and we should just turn up and see π

Year 7...

Does anyone know how many girls/boys to expect at Elmhurst finals?π
-
DC is fine. Year 7, Manchester x
-
I know of 1 from Manchester. DC will be fine, we have Elmhurst Finals to look forward to x
-
They have sent yes's too. Ours was a no x
-
I'm sorry for the no's and willing all of your DC's onwards. Have there been any yes's yet? X
