  1. Thank you both and she still isn't sure but I think she is swaying towards Central because she is more classical. Not going to make any hasty decisions, will just sleep on it for a few days and talk to her teachers. We are so happy to be in this position!
  2. Found out yesterday my DD was offered a place at Central. Now we have Rambert and Central to choose from. Last year my DD didn't get anywhere but she persevered and matured from her disappointments and gained two places. This was our wish. Just a little inspiration for any disappointed children out there, keep trying!
  3. My Dd didn't get her result until 2 weeks after the first batch last year and it was a no. I just think the no's should be sent out in the first lot because otherwise you are waiting for a disappointment and that's where it's unfair. Luckily this year my DD has a place at Rambert and she wants to go there. If she didn't have Rambert we would be in the same predicament and the toll that would take on all of us would be horrendous to deal with.
  4. I'm not sure Taxi4ballet, DD heard this from her friend who trains at Central.
  5. Apparently they send out the first lot of yeses to the ones that have been offered places at other schools and then the second lot of yeses are central's first choices for students who haven't been offered anywhere else. DD's friend waited two weeks until she received her reserve letter.
  6. What time did you hear today? Will they send the "yes" people out in batches? I hate not knowing, my DD is in a state as this was her last chance to get in somewhere this year. She only auditioned for three schools and got two finals. She didn't get Elmhurst and central is her last chance. She's only been doing decent ballet training for 20 months and started at 13 years old. She has worked incredibly hard and I feel sick with worry. I don't know how long I can cope with the waiting.
  7. What time did you receive these emails? Will they stagger the people who are a "yes" and are they still sending these emails out?
