Hello! I am in first year at Northern! If you have any questions message me x Happy to help x

Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone could answer this question for me! If I am on a DaDa at a dance school but if leave before the end of my course, can I apply for a student loan to go to university instead? Thank you
-
The student decides but if they are far better at jazz than ballet or the other way round they will advise them to do the one they are better at x
-
At NBS you decide whether you are going to study jazz or classical. However at Hammond you do MT or dance x

Hello all, I was just wondering which ballet schools offer scholarships (not DaDas) or able to apply for student finance. Thank you

Getting to the Northern Ballet School
lovetoballetdance replied to lilacfairy's topic in Doing Dance
Hello I am a student at NBS and when I go home on the train, I walk to oxford road station which takes 5 minutes then catch a train for 5 minutes into Piccadilly station. Your train ticket from Piccadilly covers the cost of the train from Oxford road if you have any questions just message me -
As far as I know from my auditions and people I know going to upper schools, they all take upto 18 year olds, but do prefer ballet students to be younger e.g 16 :) I'm going to Northern at 17

* that is just an exercise to do in the meantime, I would defiantly go see a doctor to get it sorted out

Hello I was always find the exercise of doing rises on to Demi pointe on a step and allowing my heels to go as far down as they can. This stretches the Achilles and strengthens

Hello I would just say go with your heart because life's to short to be doing something you don't want to do. And you don't want to live regretting you didn't follow your dreams. But I'm sure you will make the right decision for you xxx

How much Pointe experience required for vocational (senior) school
lovetoballetdance replied to Wish22's topic in Doing Dance
I did my AS levels this year and have been offered places at BTUK with a scholarship and DaDa to northern ballet school, and will be off to northern ballet school in September. All schools take upto 18 year olds but they prefer 16 year olds in ballet. -
How much Pointe experience required for vocational (senior) school

Hello at all auditions I have done for vocational schools you need to do pointe work. There is always echappes ( in second / 4th / passes ), at only one audition have I had to do pirouettes en pointe. There is usually bourrees from the corner, which gives you the chance to be more expressive. Also there are sometimes posse turns from the corner which sometimes is quick sometimes slower. I hope this helps -
Swan princess I believe the closest may be the Wolverhampton grand theatre auditions xxx
