  1. Sterling Estate Agents will have all the available properties available soon. If your DD asks the current Grads they let her know when they will be leaving the property. My daughter was not told until the 20th June last year.
  2. JA's are required every day. They finish earlier then main cast, but this depends on the day x
  3. Only 1 official NYB Leotard is needed. Also, all dirty vocational dancewear will be taken to laundry on a daily basis, so please make sure you have you child's name on everything from socks, underwear, leotards etc as this will then be given back to your child at the end of the day.
  4. For 2015 Season, summer school and theatres etc.
  5. Heard results are out. Any members with good news?
  6. Please note that nearly all of Upper Tring 6th Formers do not stay on-site. Some are in a flat at the bottom of Mansion Drive. Boys in one house and girls in another house about 3/4 mile from the Mansion. Plus all 3rd formers are in there own flats dotted around Tring.
  7. A few years ago when my DC was in the funding finals there where about 5 current Tring pupils auditioning for the same year all hoping to be awarded funding. My DC was VERY lucky to be awarded an MDS and out of the current Tring pupils only one of the five was awarded the funding.
  8. I know a couple of girls aged around 18 years now that have been with NYB for 7-8 years have had to attend the prelim auditions every year.
  9. I was there to for the choreography and I must state that I know nothing about dance but, can not understand the feed back on one of the senior comments. I'm not sure of the dancers names but it was the piece called "angel in the stars" (the female dancer was wearing a light green dress) about the loss of a loved one, she said that the music did not go with the dance, and the dance was stronger than the music, but the song is about someone who has a terminal illness. This one piece was so good that I had a tear, I was very surprised that this particular piece wasn't placed. As I said before I know nothing about dance so can anyone that was there and knows more than me please explain how this didn't get placed, as I would really like to know. Thanks in advance.
  10. I know of one DS that has been offered a MDS for year 7 a Hammond x
  11. Hi All, my daughter is a 6th former helping at Easter Course, so if any of your children are worried about anything I can pass on your child's name to her. Sometimes just a chat does the job!
  12. Firstly congratulations to your DD. The day is very long so make sure you pack a lot of food, drink and snacks as the children could be sitting around for a long time. The children will be called by number (so please remember her number) when they are needed for each work staged, so if they fit the height required for one particular piece they will audition for that part and so on. So, they could audition for a ballet piece or a Jazz part or both, there is no way of telling what age, grade or height they are looking for. If you need further information, please feel free to ask.
  13. 3pm after lessons Exeats start after lessons on a Friday, they finish early at 3pm.
  14. Tring now has WIFI so the children can SKYPE every evening (if they remember they have family!! lol). It is true that they can have their phones from 6pm to bedtime. The first Exeat is usually the 2nd weekend so the children can have time to settle in, then on roughly every 3rd weekend. My daughter has been at Tring for 5 years now, so if you have any questions please feel free to ask x
