  1. Thanks that's good advice. We haven't yet discussed more auditions so we'll see....she took the JA result well and she just loves ballet so I think she'd love to do more.
  2. Thanks for your responses. I'm a bit reticent I think - DD has just had a no from JAs - expected as competition was massive but not sure about trying other auditions. Don't want to set her up to fail although we only tried JAs on her teacher's recommendation and she has also been encouraging about trying other associate schemes. Good to know it's been a lovely positive experience though at LJB!
  3. It's a no here ???? But DD was ok with it - I think she just had a great time even doing the audition! Oh well, as expected we shall try again next year no doubt. Massive congrats to the 'yes' s - well done all!
  4. Hi all just looking at other associate programmes for my DD and wondering about London Junior Ballet as they have an audition date coming up in September. Has anyone got experience of their DCs auditioning - is it v difficult to get into?
  5. I know! You can't help hoping but trying to be realistic. Looks like we were wrong with our Thursday predictions then...rather glad I have a busy day tomorrow so no time to keep checking... Good luck to everyone, let's hope we are put out of our misery soon...
  6. Yes, our result was on a Thursday last year too so expecting it tomorrow....
  7. Congrats all those yeses btw and commiserations to the no's - always next year to try again. This is our second year of trying and I imagine we'll be doing the same next year!
  8. I had to email some more photos as stupidly did socks not bare feet in the first lot so if the photos are very important I guess that's a bit of a major negative point for us! Never mind. We are waiting for London news.....
  9. Massive congratulations Cookie Monster, huge well done to your DD!! Sorry have nothing to add about the sessions other than to blow a virtual raspberry at your 'friend''s comment!
  10. Ah I hope so too Purple. There were a couple more from DDs ballet school in different auditions for London so will find out on Saturday! Hopefully one of the girls has a place that would be nice
  11. Ah well done PV to your DD for taking it so well. I softened the blow with a Tonlerone and she decided almost immediately she wanted to try again next year. Yes thanks for all the support today lovelies it was a nail biting adventure thank goodness I didn't have to do it alone. Hope your daughter loves Tring, Petal; we may well have a go in November. We'll see... Just glad DD had the chance to audition for JAs as it was a fab experience for all of them. Enjoy your evenings ladies, chat soon xx
