  6. Hello, Could other users advise me, I am finding the application a little confusing, you submit the actual application and pay online, but do you post the references and photos directly and where do you find dates of auditions? Someone mentioned that there is an audition taking place in London but I cannot find this online. Thanks in anticipation.
  7. Wanted peoples opinions on this course in the summer, is it a good experience in learning? Is it worth the money? Is it beneficial? I know all dance is beneficial in that it is all good practice but is there anything new to learn or is it just the experience of dancing abroad. Thanks
  8. Thank you everyone for all the info, definitely food for thought.
  9. My DD wishes to apply for 6th form at both Tring and Central. Can anyone tell me which of these has a better reputation for classical training?
  10. Thanks all for the information. From what I understand they can leave with their diploma after the 2nd year if they have had distinctions in their work up to then. Hopefully some parents or dancers who have been through it can advise me.
  11. Thank you, so I presume they get their diploma anyway after the 2nd year is completed?
  12. My DS is in 1st year of 6th form at Tring, can anyone past or present advise on whether it is usual for them to stay for the 3rd year or best to move on and get more appropriate training in their chosen genre. Just planning ahead as find it confusing. I know they choose in the 2nd year following consultation as to what to specialise in during their 2nd year but some seem to leave at the end of the 2nd year, if they have jobs then I understand this but if its to get further training, is this a good idea or is it best to stay for the touring year?
  13. My DD was a junior and senior associate with Ballet Cymru before going to vocational school. It is a lovely company, very personable. They like expressive dancers and each company member is different in size and shape which is so refreshing! I would say to your DD to smile, wear a bright leotard with a pretty but simple hair accessory and to be as expressive as she can. Good luck!
  14. It's her life, is it perhaps because you are on maintenance funding that you get reassessed for both? I believe Tring parents who's dd just have Dada without maintenance have already had letters confirming that they will be continuing to pay in September what they have been paying this year.
