anondancer_15
Hiya, I was wondering if anyone knew of any summer workshops in contemporary or ballet around July/August time, that are in or around London? I'm thinking of doing a few rather than an intensive!

Anna C
As is Harpenden Summer Dance School - it's a week long non-residential summer school but you pick and choose the classes - and days - you want to attend, if you don't want to do the whole week: http://www.harpendensummerdanceschool.co.uk/Harpenden_Summer_School/Welcome.html

Interested Parent
If you're looking for 1 day workshops in London and you're 16 or over try the Dance Attic in Fulham or the DanceWorks just off Oxford Street. They offer daily classes in all sorts of dance styles.

Sandsfoot
Choreographer Jenna Lee who was a soloist with the English National Ballet, (she also choreographed the LCB this year and was a mentor on the BBC young dancer competition - so also has experience of teaching) is running some summer intensives in London on July 12th and Aug 1st and 2nd. She is a lovely teacher and she has some other excellent teachers lined up including some contemporary. I don't think we are going to be able to go sadly this time as we are away but DD has attended a workshop with her in the past and enjoyed it. This is the link to book it (hopefully) https://v1.bookwhen.com/jlpworkshops She also has them on 1st and 2nd August . They are in Kensington London She also has a Facebook page with some more info https://www.facebook.com/balletevents?fref=ts Edited June 26, 2015 by Sandsfoot

Sandsfoot
Sands foot - any idea what age it is for junior/ senior - I can't see it ..... At the last one she did juniors was 9-11 and seniors 12-16 but you could email her jleeproductions1@gmail.com just to check. So anondancer might be a bit old but no harm in asking. A lot probably depends on your standard as well. At the last one they did some pas de deux as well.
Bellini Pointe
Check out Chelsea Ballet Company as they have an annual dance intensive in August.
LinMM
They do indeed but I think the minimum age is 18 for this one as it's mostly for adults .....I'm doing it this August! August 3rd to 8th. Though Louise who runs it ....who can be contacted via Chelsea Ballet website .....may allow a 17 year old to participate in certain circumstances I don't know but if contacted would be able to advise etc.
