Lilac
I was told the timetable for the Fareham semi-final should appear in mid April so hopefully shortly. Really hope to hear then as need to let work know which days I need off.
2littledancers
I have heard that the London North timetable should be out very shortly , although dreading the huge sections that are inevitable due to the bigger areas
suzysue
I am also hoping they will be out soon. Need to know what days to book off work! Are the times usually released onto the website?
southerndancemum
Glad someone asked this si hasn't even thought to ask
JulieW
Remember they have to wait for all the qualifying festivals to be finished (I've just been writing at one yesterday) and then entries in, and I can tell you from experience that putting together a sensible programme takes considerable time, but hopefully you won't have to wait too long. suzysue
How does that work though Julie W? I thought the closing date was the end of March?
2littledancers
I have received London North timetable today . How can that be a qualifying festival ? Closing date was 31 st march
Lilac
Yes I also thought closing date was 31st March. Desparately awaiting Fareham semi-final timetable!
JulieW
Sorry all. Think I got my year wrong! Must've been a qualifier last year - wasn't paying attention (as I no longer have someone dancing in it) oops
2littledancers
Looks like the Fareham timetable is on the All England FB page Lilac .

Dreamy11
I've received my copy of the programme today in the post, do we not learn the number the children are until we arrive? Thanks
southerndancemum
The Facebook page seems to have numbers in brackets after which we are assuming are the number in group.
Dreamy11
Hi Southern dancemum , I noticed that but it doesn't for the North one- anyone done this before and know the set up. Do we only learn what number they are to dance when we buy the programme?
southerndancemum
Oh sorry that's rubbish then!
Waitingmum
Only found out the numbers in each category when we arrived last time! Wish they would hurry up with the SouthWest timetable!!
2littledancers
The numbers next to the section on the timetable are normally the number of competitors in the section . But you won't find out which number your child is / order they dance in until the programme is released on the 1st day of competition
Sandsfoot
They have posted the West of England on Facebook, doesn't say how many in each class and there are some Part 1 and Part 2. I presume they split the ages but it doesn't say and I am not sure when you find out. Someone has asked the question so hopefully we will find out soon.
Loopy
Arghhh.... Still waiting for the South East Splits of sections to come out. Sooooo frustrated. Also.... Has anyone done Cranbrook previously? The timetable suggests that, rather than announcing who's been placed after each discipline, they have longer sections and THEN results and break... Or results and Tea etc etc. does this mean if you are at the start of the section you have to wait for the break to hear the results? I'm a tad confused. Thx
Billyelliott
Yes Loopy When I did Cranbrook 2 years ago, we had to wait for a number of sections to end before the adjudication results which were given out in batches to speed things up !
2littledancers
All regional finals are following that format , as do the finals . It really does speed things up ie the counting up of marks , only one trip to the stage for adj etc . Hope you get the split section names soon .
Loopy
Thanks 2littledancers and billyelliott. I can see how it makes a lot of sense in terms of time saving.... It's just going to make for shorter nails!!! So much more opportunity for nail biting lol. Does every dancer across all the disciplines come out onto the stage for the results ? I hope you don't mind my picking brains, I don't remember it being like that before (been at a different Regional previously). What if they are in more than one or two dances in the section, which costume do they wear???
Billyelliott
Yes and they wear the costume they last dances in and hold the other one(s) in a hand / on a hanger ,or if a group just a few represent the group !
southerndancemum
Never been to All England stuff before - how does the marking work? do you have to get a specific score to go thru to finals etc?
2littledancers
You have to obtain an honours mark . And only 1st 2nd and 3rd go through ( apart from group's ) there is a clear explanation on the All England website .
Loopy
Does anyone know how they decide the splits for larger groups? I thought it would just be pull it out of a hat. I'm struggling to understand why it's so delayed, unless someone is making a person by person decision??
southerndancemum
You have to obtain an honours mark . And only 1st 2nd and 3rd go through ( apart from group's ) there is a clear explanation on the All England website . Lol thanks I looked but couldn't see... But then looking via my phone so teeny text! What's the rule re groups? DD in group with only 2 in section. Does that mean guaranteed place at final as that seems wrong somehow.
2littledancers
No , no guaranteed place at finals . All have to achieve an honours mark . On website it's on the right hand side margin , something like ' ever wondered how marks are scored at semi s ' something along those lines .
JulieW
I quite like having a few sections adjudicated together - means more people in the audience. I'm not involved this year for the first time in 12 years! Good luck everyone
