Experience of RAD summer schools?

I'm thinking about the RAD summer school for DD for NEXT year ( 2018! ) and am deciding between day student or boarding ( we could stay with family not too far away ) but would it be better for DD to board, and then to make better friends with her classmates? it says a theatre trip and something else is included ... is that only for those who board? having read that lessons are from 10-3.30, what do the boarders do the rest of the afternoon/evenings?

Thanks x

My daughter once attended a summer school but commuted as she she applied late & they had no boarding places left. She didn't enjoy it nearly as much as when she boarded.

This year she is attending another summer school & we will be staying very nearby but she has chosen to still board.

If anyone has any experience (good or bad) of RAD summer schools, I would really appreciate your feedback. Thank you in advance.

My Dd loved it when she did it a few years back.

Just a  good, solid summer school with good teaching and a nice atmosphere. No ‘ big names’ and no pretensions.
