Lottylou
If anyone has any experience (good or bad) of RAD summer schools, I would really appreciate your feedback. Thank you in advance.
Canary
My DD did RAD summer school 6 years ago and loved it, mainly because Rachael Hunt was her teacher and My DD has always loved her challengeing classes. The accommodation and evening entertainment were great. Doesn't time fly
balletmummy
We were all set to do one in Birmingham a few years ago, which was then cancelled very late on in the day. Just something to be aware of-the RAD can cancel things at the last minute which is obviously really disappointing for the children involved. Lilac
DD did the Advanced 2 ballet school last Summer. (Non residential). Was also absolutely fine for what she wanted, and obviously good relevant teaching. We're quite a few overseas students there.
Pixiewoo
I'm thinking about the RAD summer school for DD for NEXT year ( 2018! ) and am deciding between day student or boarding ( we could stay with family not too far away ) but would it be better for DD to board, and then to make better friends with her classmates? it says a theatre trip and something else is included ... is that only for those who board? having read that lessons are from 10-3.30, what do the boarders do the rest of the afternoon/evenings? Thanks x
sarahw
I think boarding is fun and is good for making friends but obviously costs more.....
theother51
My daughter once attended a summer school but commuted as she she applied late & they had no boarding places left. She didn't enjoy it nearly as much as when she boarded. This year she is attending another summer school & we will be staying very nearby but she has chosen to still board. Thank you in advance. My Dd loved it when she did it a few years back. Just a good, solid summer school with good teaching and a nice atmosphere. No ‘ big names’ and no pretensions.
