I found the latest Met Live in HD - Gounod's Roméo et Juliette - a total bore. Never liked the opera (Faust is much more fun) and despite A list casting, the Broadway-style production did nothing to convert me.

 

So instead here is a new and different production of the Flying Dutchman which has got at least one critic very excited:-
