new123
Hi, last minute question for our audition tomorrow. Is it ballet socks or tights they should wear? I remember the RBS asked for socks specifically. Or does it not really matter? This is for group 1. Many thanks!
Heartbroken-ballet-mum
DD auditioned in May for Group 1 and wore socks. Good luck for tomorrow. DD has enjoyed every minute of CBA since she started in September.

Anna C
If I remember rightly, the groups for audition don't directly reflect the eventual group allocation as the auditionees are a mix of ages. When my dd auditioned for CBA there were only 4? groups auditioning for 6 levels. In a way it would be easier were Tring to call the audition groups by letter, rather than number, so successful dancers from Audition Group B may be allocated Group 1, 2 or 3 when term starts, if you see what I mean. The CBA staff will place a student into the group they think best suits age, strength and standard, but if necessary they will move a student up, usually following assessment class. So I would not worry about being placed in Group 1 aged 9. :-) Congratulations to your daughter!
