  2. Hello Everyone, Here's what I have on offer for the Autumn term 2022 and beyond! 1) On Fridays I have an online (and live if you live near enough to Highbury North London!) young vocational class and pointe work coaching class. (10 - 14 yrs) The term is 12 weeks in length and commences Friday 16th September. 2) I have private/semi private coaching classes throughout the day on both Saturdays and Sundays. Classes can be taken for 1 hour, 90 minutes or 2 hours and are bespoke for each students individual needs. Priority is given to students who are signing up for a regular slot but I keep some lessons free for less frequent requests! These classes can be taken online or live. The classes are open to vocational students who wish to enhance their training; pre-vocational students who are preparing for auditions over the coming year and professional dancers wishing for a technique boost! (There is a small amount of availability during week days and evenings too) 3) I have non-vocational ballet and jazz classes for teenagers and young adults who love to dance but are taking it recreationally rather than vocationally. These classes are held in Highbury North London. These are super fun and a great workout for young people! Please feel free to email me sarah@sarahtoner.co.uk or DM me on Instagram sarahtoner45 for more information or a chat about how I can help! I don't post much but I a still around Love and best wishes, Sarah xxx

  4. Hello Friends, I thought some of you might be interested in finding out about the personal career coaching programs I offer for dancers at all stages of their careers. Working at the highest level within the dance world has afforded me the pleasure of helping countless dancers to confidently and successfully manage their careers. I have also worked with numerous well-trained, talented dancers who were very good at what they were good at; namely dancing, but woefully under-prepared for coping with the many tough demands of the profession. Enjoying a fulfilling career in the world of dance requires nous, confidence, motivation and resilience, so it is imperative to be well prepared from the outset—and with the right support it is possible to maximise your potential for success. My background is as principal dancer, international guest teacher and former Artistic Director of English National Ballet and the Royal New Zealand Ballet. I have danced with, amongst others, the Royal Swedish Ballet, English National Ballet, Netherlands Dance Theatre and Rambert Dance Company. Now as a coach, with a lifetime’s experience of the dance world, I work independently from dance schools and companies to offer the objective insights and support that institutions (or families) may not be able to provide. To find our how I can help you increase your chances of having a fulfilling career visit my website or drop me an email to book a free confidential conversation. As a special service I also offer consultations with parents to ballet students. Website: www.matzskoog.com Email: matz.skoog@gmail.com
  5. Hi everyone, I hope the mods don't mind me posting this but having had quite a few requests for private coaching/'physio' assessments etc I am doing two days of sessions in May half term, in Warwick. Sessions can be used to work on specific movements (eg pirouettes or leaps), to work on ballet technique, for strength & conditioning or for injury rehabilitation. I can also offer pre-audition assessments with some take-home help on how to work on weaknesses. Sessions can be shared by up to 3 students but can only be booked by 1 person. Sessions are booked on a first-come, first-served basis but if the session you want is booked you can add your name to a waiting list. To book go to https://goteamup.com/p/1110966-warwick-school-of-dance/ Select “private coaching sessions” or go to the calendar/schedule and select your preferred date.
  6. Hi, I am new here but I have been doing ballet as an adult for more than 10 years on and off. I am just wondering if there are any intermediate semi-private ballet class in Birmingham I can join? Or anyone around Birmingham would like to share a two hours private ballet class with me? Being able to share would make the class much more affordable while still benefiting from individual attention!! I would really want to get much better but feel i am getting loss in large group classes. anyone interested, please PM me
  7. COACHING for COACHES! A rare opportunity to see world class coaching using dancers from the Royal Ballet Company. For all teachers, repetiteurs and dancers considering their next career move - this is a very special day with Maina Gielgud at Ballet Boost on Sept 1st 2017. It involves the whole day -watching a ballet class and then observing Maina teach mime and stage craft. After lunch Teo Dubreuil and Anna Rose O'Sullivan from RB Company will arrive to be 'coached' in various solos and we are hoping to share crucial elements that are necessary when coaching. Its so very different to delivering a class and will be invaluable for those working on YAGP, Prix de Lausanne or even festival solos. This is an interactive workshop! If you are interested please fill in the attached form or email me info@balletboost.com. It should be an enlightening day as Maina coaches dancers around the world!! The dancers attending the Back to Ballet course from aug 29th will be lucky enough to watch the afternoon rehearsal at no extra cost having finished the course after the mime class! Full details available on www.balletboost.com on the 'other courses' page or at www.mainagielgud.com. Cost is £70 for the afternoon and can be as interactive as necessary. £85 to observe the entire day from 11am with students attending their technique class (taught by Emma Northmore) followed by mime taught by Maina.
